I have noticed that the lyrical and musical compositions have dropped as of late. Everyone is basically singing a different version of the same storyline in terms of songwriting. This begs me to wonder if the big songwriters like Eldorado, Pascal Poba, Do Akongo still sell their songs to the artists.

yes,but not in big quantity like in the past because they are more demanding now which does not please musicians so they'd rather the up and coming who will be happy to get even just the chance to work with them

At some point, the artist gotta just give in to the demand...our music is suffering because the lyricists aren't giving up the goods like before.

7t won't happen and that's why our music is on the decline, leaders are too self centered and too stingy to give songwriters a fair pay, the reason why Nigerians moved forward it is because they are united Okah Lay works with Victony, Victony works with Rema, Rema works with Burna Boy, Burna Boy works with Wizkid and so on, but in Congolese music you can't even have Deplick and Fabregas work togheter unless a big donor is involved. Leaders instead of helping each other they only wait for the opportunità to hurt each other.
