Fabregas is once again advanced on a 20 30 songs album

Despite Ozana being a hot song, is this really necessary? I’m still trying to get through all of the songs on the group album and his album before that. Dude needs to relax.

Madilu  is bakongos name which means cries .. Just like makiadi which means sadness  and makiesse  meaning hapiness .  Just  imagine a band leader named  sadnesss and one of his singer is happiness ..how bizzare would that be..
Just saying

Can’t be that bizarre. Kiesse Diambu was one of those singers.

@Matebu

Who is Héritier Itele? I keep hearing that mabanga Wenge 4X4 & Wenge Musica Masion Mere albums. Is this a wealthy donor or a relative of one of the group members? I remember Werrason dedicated a whole song to this person from Pentagone.

He was mentioned in this song as well.

@Tata Nkiadi

Is Gipson really that good? I liked his vocals on record, but for some reason he underperforms often at concerts.

I honestly struggled with him, which is why I gave him an honorable mention.

Another person I didn't mention at all, but should still get some kind of recognition is Franco.  If you study his works he always stayed on key and knew how to flawlessly harmonize with other vocalists in 4 part harmony and duets. He was also really good at cleanly using glissando while singing solos.  (In strong contrast to Werrason who has to use Auto Tune to correct his notes). Singing using Solfège is a pretty impressive skill that I'm certain a lot of these current singers aren't using.

If he were consistent JDT would be at the level of Ferre and Fally musically.

Not sure if this is debatable, but I beg to differ.  I like JDT, I've always liked his music and Examen is probably one of the best songs out of A La Que Leu and should've been a classic (Werra destroyed it with the mabanga overdubs overpowering the singers), but let's not kid ourselves, JDT is not a great singer, limited and lazy at best, and is probably not even a good band leader (i.e. Les Marquis).  He was even supposed to keep Les Marquis going after Ferre and Bill left but used session musicians and singers for Moleki Nzela (great album btw).

As an artist/composer I'll give JDT his props, but for a guy who's been in the business nearly 30 years and has only released a maxi single and one full album, doesn't really say much about his star power, unlike Ferre & Fally who are both best known for their tremendous vocal abilities and get more opportunities to make money.

Damn, I just went on her IG page and real talk Penielle Kalambay is thicker than a snicker! Nalingi kopesa ye beaucoup des enfants.  LOL! If I was Mike, I'd be keeping her on my team before she moves back to US and gets wifed up here.

Congolese Music / Re: Deplick' group attacking Robinio
« on: January 31, 2018, 00:53 »
Making unnecessary remarks about his skin tone and saying he's an atalaku, for him to come to Deplick's group so they can form him into a singer because he's a bad singer. And that "his dad" is rapper and are destroying Congolese music while Deplick and Ferre are trying to restore it.

What a fool.  I don't know of any parties Deplick's music is getting played.  My fiancée, an American, LOVES Robinio, especially Tsha Nanu Boye.  Robinio is hot right now and Deplick is about to be in for a very rude awakening.

Congolese Music / Letis Madilu & Bana System
« on: December 12, 2017, 00:27 »
I recently discovered this pretty dope album. I am still listening to it, but I'm feeling the track Ma Molangi.

 Archos can you give us some backrground on Letis Madilu and his group Bana System? I assume he's the son of the late Madilu System?

Losing a member is a hard pill to swallow, especially those who've made great contributions to help advance the awareness of this beautiful genre that we love.  Yeah we don't agree with most things, but it's those passionate discussions that help keep these forums going.  Ms. Bazu will be sorely missed.

@Tata Nkiadi; not sure if this if this is the right time to ask, but do you know the status of Papa PC? He was that crazy uncle that everyone loved anyways. Also, Haha Le Prof. "le grand Koffiphile". Their online presences are dearly missed.

Unfortunately, I have lost contact with a lot of the old members. Aside from a few, many of them have changed their email addresses over the years.  At some point today I will attempt to contact guys like Haha, PC Mpondolo, Adoyo. Nyatipro, Omosh, David Noyes and Martin Sinnock are on FB and I catch up with them from time to time.  I wish I still had contact information for Ronald Zee and Yvonne, although it seems they've retreated from forum life in recent years and don't want to be bothered and I honestly don't blame them.

 Ms. T and I are still good friends to this day, however she too is battling from Breast Cancer and has been in and out of the hospital over the years.  Keep her in your prayers.

It is with deep regret to inform the members of this forum that Ms. Stacey Bazu also known on this forum as Mwana Nsalu passed away Monday from breast cancer at age 35.  A lot of us remember Ms. Bazu as an original member from previous forums where we've grown to know each other as a collective group for over 15 years.  It is on these forums where she wowed us with her talents as a Congolese-American singing songs in Lingala and posting them online and displaying her passion for Odemba/Rhumba music.  I am utterly heartbroken and saddened over this news. She leaves behind her father, Guy Angrand and a young son.

the Mabanga's are part of life, hell, in western music if you listen carefully, all you hear is illuminati Mabanga's...

 A way of life? Werra talks throughout the majority of the songs on the album. Not just during the breaks but on top of the vocalists while they’re singing. The engineer even had him louder than the vocalists. That’s not music bro, it’s unnecessary noise.

285
Great album spoiled by overdubbed mabanga. Examen should’ve been a major hit for JDT but Werra’s muffled shout outs over shadowed the vocals. Overall, that album foreshadowed a horrible trend that artists can’t breakaway from now.
