Thanks a lot DJ SLY, for the lingala dictionary.  I am going to show off my lingala speaking skills to my Congolese friends. :) .  I will surprise my fiance who is Congolese with a complete sentence in lingala very soon.

Nice one! Lucky you, you got a Congolese girl, wish I had one, I would be perfect in lingala coz I would be asking her every minute. :lol:

 :) Actually DJ SLY is the other way around, my husband is of Congo origin.

Thanx Mwana Nsalu, will dig into it and see what's there. I must say my lingala has improved, I use this online dictionary above almost every hour,whatever  new words I hear on songs or interviews I translate and it's working, preparing myself for a trip to Congo,want to go and chill out one weekend when am in Zambia sometime this year.

re: your trip, nice! i hope someday in the future to make that trip as well. with having family there tho can't go empty handed. gotta make sure i'm good to go so to speak lol

yes i use the dictionary you linked the most. it is pretty extensive, i love it.

the link i posted is especially great for getting ones conversational skills and pronunciation/annunciation better if you don't really have people to speak lingala with. i haven't used it as much as i would like (haven't had the time) but its a really great tool.
