I was just on a Whatsapp call with vieux Eldorado, he told me 2 songs in Ferre's next album are his. I asked him: Vieux nga ba yebisa nga que obebana na Ferre, bo zongi lisusu? He replied: Na yokeli ye mawa, ecart ya ye na Fally ekomi mosika, tolingi conquerance na musique. He further told me that he doesn't like Ferre the person but the voice because apparently Ferre is not a trust worthy person. The title to one these songs would be "Welisa".

He also told me that Fally is a good person. He went on to talk about how great Koffi is and that you can't compare Koffi to Fally because Fally and other younger talents are guys that Eldorado and co propulsed whereas he himself (Eldorado that is) became a writer from listening to Koffi's early songs (Asso, Sango Ndambo, Fleur Rose, Longomo ect).

I just saw this recent tiktok from Koffi playing the guitar, he is very skilled and underrated.

I could possibly count in one hand the number ghostwriters who broke through as solo artists. Koffi Olomidé was able to do it in 1978 with his successful singles (Synza, Anibo, Samba Samba, N'djoli, Cherie Lipasa ect). Macott de Katalas had a bit of success in the late 80s then flopped. Reddy Amisi and Felix Wazekwa would probably be the next 2 after Koffi as ghostwriters who became successful. I've seen the likes of Pascal Poba, Didier Mila, Benz Petrol, Do Akongo, Eldorado attempt but they've never went far. I've always been curious as to why

I know that Koffi and Jean Goubald were close in the early 2000s and I have heard Jean Goubald praising Koffi's artistry in terms of his writing and playing of the guitar, but did they ever collaborate?

As anyone with clear sight can see, Koffi is a the end of his career. He's forcing everything to stay relevant when he could just retire and let the next generation continue. His best days were the 90s and early 2000s. Why is this man torturing himself with endless defeats?

I know Do Akongo left Quarter Latin as soon as Fally came, but did he ever have in put maybe in terms of songwriting to Fally?

Eldorado seems to be a fascinating figure behind the scenes figure in Congolese music (being one of the most notable composers). I've heard that he was in Quarter Latin and has worked with Ferre and Fally but other than that not much.
