Guy Guy Fall was a good animator too as well as singer. Unfortunately he got too cocky as Matebu rightfully said. I am not sure but I wonder if Quetin and Roga Roga had pushed Guy Guy Fall to leave. I think it was Roga Roga got Hermann Ngassaki to replace Guy Guy Fall.

The beginning of Koffi Olomide before he would create his group Quartier Latin

The video is speaking of the years 1993 to 1995. Apparently Koffi Olomide and Quartier Latin was already having strong tensions according to this video. Enjoy the video

One thing that you could see was that Werrason didn't total confidence in himself yet depsite the fact he was gaining popularity so fast. That is what this video showed.

Congolese Music / Re: Does anyone know this rare LP?

Good question. I think more likely that Mbilia Bel just sang songs composed by Koffi Olomide. I doubt that Koffi Olomide and Mbilia Bel sang together in a LP if they worked together. Just my educated guess.

Ahh Taddet de Monticule. The son of former Kamikaze Loningisa (Youlou Mabiala) and Bana OK (Simaro Lutumba Masiya) singer Elba Kuluma or Elba Top A. I wonder why Taddet left the group or got kicked out?

Roga Roga and Fally Ipupa should do a duet album. It would be fun. Roga Roga and Fally could make do remix of some old songs with sebenes and do some new Rumba together. In spite of his arrogance, Roga Roga is a very good guitarist. It would be a good combination. Felly Tyson should be in the album as the Rhythm Guitarist on some songs where Roga Roga can play and others where he plays the solo guitar. Espe Bass should have be part in this project if it ever becomes reality (unlikely though).

I am so happy that Dizzy Mandjeku did this interview. His older brother who is dad to Do Akongo had known Franco some years back before Franco really got big. Back to the video, Dizzy actually revealed to us that OK Jazz was in an explosion during Franco's final months as he was absent due to his mysterious illness. From what I heard from Dizzy, it appeared that OK Jazz was entering into a semi civil war between one camp between Josky, Madilu and Ndombe against Dizzy, Gerry, Simaro, etc. Don't forget, Malage de Lugendo had left OK Jazz to join OK Jazz alongside Gege Mangaya. I understand why Dizzy wanted to go. The OK Jazz band was already in a disarray. But due to Franco's strong love for Dizzy himself, he got him to be his personal advisor alongside Manzenza.

Another great revelation from Dizzy was the famous failed September 22 concert, he and Manzenza tried hard to let the promoters know that Franco was unable to perform because he was truly sick but the promoters did not care and they said that the fans were expecting Franco. But it was Franco who also wanted to play because he felt that this would likely be his last performance and he would have preferred to die on stage which the host Dionzo got visibly shaken (rightfully so). I will return to this after the next paragraph.

Dizzy explained that he was taking care of the OK Jazz affairs while Manzenza was taking of the family affairs of the Luambo family after the death of Franco. It was an intensive situation. It appeared that Madilu was with Dizzy during this time. Important revelation because people wondered why Madilu did not occur in Zaire right away when the funeral originally happened. According to Dizzy, it was due to visa issues that he alongside others had.

After the death of Franco, Dizzy got lucky to perform with Papa Wemba in Washington while doing the Africa OYE festivals. He also got to perform with Mbilia Bel and Rigo Star. About dying on stage in Congolese music history, only one has gotten to due that. That is no other than Papa Wemba which would occur in 2016 while performing in the Ivory Coast Femua festival. I am surprised that Dionzo did not ask Dizzy about his reaction of seeing Papa Wemba die on stage due the relevation about Franco preferring to die on stage.

That is a great move by Koffi. I love this revelation. Fally Ipupa did a great job singing in the song Kokoko. I love this so much.

Youlou Mabiala married one of Franco's daughters. This explains why Youlou was able to revamp Ok Jazz the way he did.

Franco must felt something bad from Nyoka Longo. I believe that Franco not only helped create Langa Langa Stars to punish Zaiko and Papa Wemba due to his collaboration with Tabu Ley Rochereau but also probably got Pepe Felly to create Grand Zaiko. I think Franco's demand at Verckys is the likely reason why Nyoka Longo and Verckys became enemies for a long time.

Tshikos Ngotshuma. He was one of the close friends of the late King Kester Emeneya. He really ressembles to the late Papa Wemba though. I wonder if they were cousins?

28
I had a message from someone on Facebook who requested for the list of guitarists for Fally Ipupa, Ferre Gola and Koffi Olomide. I mean current guitarists for these artists. Does anyone know?

29
Actually in this video, Bouboule actually resembles to Koffi Olomide during his golden years. It is sad that those two men no longer speak. He knows a lot of stuff about Koffi including his enstranged relationship with Djonico Agbepa who was also a friend of the late Papa Wemba. He has yet to really do interviews which means that he still has respect for Koffi.

It is interesting how Koffi refuses to say even Fally Ipupa's name. Koffi now refers to Fally as the boss of Felly Tyson. With Jordan Kusa, I am not surprised at all. I think Koffi is still mad at Jordan Kusa for being a big fan of Kester Emeneya. Don't forget that the fallout between Beniko Popolipo and Koffi Olomide came from Beniko's solo album that included Kester. It looks to me that Koffi got mad at anyone who appeared to close to Kester Emeneya.
