One of the all time great Congo musician is Docteur Nico besides Luambo. OK jazz. Dr. Nico's music inspired a lot of West African musicians that the highlife music stole a lot of bars from him. You heard Dr. Nico's music you know it is him.

Today the musicians all sound alike almost and the fans at the open concerts adore them, so they dont think they off the track for many others who are non lingala speakers.

THE ROUTE OF CONGOLESE MUSIC IS THE RUMBA AND I ENJOY IT IN ITS PURE FORM.
