I was also thinking this sentence was for Koffi. The three volumes are underrated...

This was the famous VHS where Fally killed Kibens's career  ;D ;D ;D

lol kibens has never forgiven him for that, when fally was coming to bcbg concerts or rehearsals jdl who is his pire vieux of bandal, chai who knew him from bcbg tests, genta and djino who are his friends since class and other guys rushed to speak with him kibens just  shut his eyes with his cap and acted like he did not see him
until one day jb forced him to salute him but still until today kibens has it very hard to talk about fally,he'll happy talk about mpangi ferre, heritier who he shared room with at jb's house and other guys

Why Fally attacked only Kibens and not another person ?

Congolese Music / Re: MY TOP 5 QUARTIER LATIN BASSISTS
« on: April 01, 2020, 12:07 »
I'm agree with you with Rocky in 1st position, i'm agree that Rocky and especially binda were Koffi's favorites, they are very strong it's true but Pathy Bass is one of the most underrated quartier latin's members. You have to listen Loi like @Archos said but when i'm listening to his song Plus jamais in Droit de véto and Sanction with Academia... No comment. When I listened to the album Sanction, which is a kind of studio/live album I understood that Pathy had been very little used and very underestimated in Quartier latin. I think Binda's way of playing bass is more appropriate for rumba and Pathy's way of playing is more appropriate for generiques/sebens.

Its like in solo guitar, Felly Tyson is Koffi's favorite but Lebou Kabuya who lasted less in the group, has a more aggressive and dancing way of doing the generiques/sebens while Felly Tyson has a lot more a way to play rumba...

No doubt Ndugu, This is the order for East Africa. I think JB is a fool, He never tried to capture East Africa. He would have easily captured EA during Ndombolo era. Werra also lost the golden opportunity during Solo la Bien era, the guy couldn't learn English. Fally will take over the leadership of EA from Koffi because the guy is always trying to connect with his followers, not like his brother who behaves like a robot whenever he comes to EA.

I would not spend sleepless nights on the East African market with the exception probably of Tanzania which if I was an artist I would go for...

And Kenya...

Congolese Music / Re: ANYONE HAS THIS MAXI-SINGLE ?

Yes I have it !

Ok I will DM you

Yes bro, but the industry of Congolese music had the misadvantage to not have big production company and therefore no legal and actual count of CD's sales.

If i'm not mistaken, all the artists you quotted had the advantage to be in big production compagny and have their sales counted well. I think if Congolese musician in 80s and 90s had most of their albums published by "serious" company, quickly it would go up in millions of "legal" sales and would have exceeded at least Tiken Jah Fakoly, Oumou Sangare and Mory Kante...

Yes I'm totally agree but I think if a little boy like Robinio can have the courage to compare his view with somebody like Ferre is that there is a problem. Innoss did a lot of view because his song was a very good and danceable song.

Yes Ferré has Jugement that is close to the 10M but what else ? These rumbas with the most views are Court Circuit (+5M), Poisson d'avril and Mea Culpa (+4,7M) and have been published for 2 years. These are quality songs and an artist like Ferré should have close to or more than 10M views on each of his songs but he does not have them because the promotion and the strategy used is not good. Ferré does not sell its image well. His management team think that have clips on Trace TV is enough well while not.

I do not say that to criticize him but to make you realize that this artist deserves and is able to have much more notoriety and success than what he currently has.

Thanks @Mfumu Vata

We must boycott the program of Papy Mboma, it brings nothing special to our music except beefs

People see Robinio as disrespectful when it isn't. When he said that no Ferre's clip has 10M views like Robinio with Misu na misu, he said the truth. This should make Ferré and his staff aware that the management of an artist of this dimension is very very low and bad. Time is passing and I have the impression that Ferré will always remain like that because he does not seem determined to change
