Besides the hardcore Congolese music lovers, many people don't actually recognize Brigade's work in QL even though he was better than the rest of the atalakus of his time there. Many though will remember Bebe Kero because Koffi was giving him more limelight & advantage.

Maybe Brigade did his first recordings with QL, but it was with Maison Mere that he eventually attained a superstar status. That's what Maison Mere does to it's artists. Look at Deplick, Fabro, Robinio, Miel, Jitrois etc. Even though they were from other groups, in Maison Mere they became household names of sorts & this gave them a big advantage when they finally started on their solo career.

Sometimes people question why musicians queue to join Maison Mere but I think this here is the reason why. Werrason on his own is not such a star attraction and he turned this weakness into a strength. He has learned and perfected the art of not being in competition with his own musicians. He lets them shine and in return they make him shine.

Look at Fally & F Victeam for example. It doesn't matter how good Fally's musicians are, Fally will always outshine them. He can sing better, dance better, dress better, has better looks etc. Nobody is really interested in his musicians. All they want is Fally. Same applies to Ferre & to a large extent Koffi. Because these guys don't depend so much on their musicians to shine & they can pretty do anything by themselves their musicians end being nothing more than support staff. When they leave for solo career they are either not ready for the challenge/competition or have not amassed the desired goodwill for a solo career.

Sounds like a sensible interview

Sometimes I think some of these guys just use Kakol as an easy excuse. There was really nothing exceptional about the guy anyway

It's a good thing he has left. I'm never a fan of these "exact copy cats". I also saw somewhere that Limousine has left MM and apparently joined Fere. That would be a shame. He had a unique and nice voice

It's almost a year old if I'm not wrong. That's not so recent. The lady is Chimelle Folo, one of the ladies who sang with Cindy & MJ30 in Le groupe Wassa

When is joining Team Watta then?

It was politics and in politics you win or lose for political reasons only. It's commendable that he accepts he lost which is very rare in African politics where nobody ever admits defeat.

Congratulations to him for offering himself as a solution and there's always next time.

In every contest there are winners and losers.

Hope he takes the lessons, where he went wrong, what he didn't do right and come back a stronger candidate.

I also hope the just concluded elections will allow the Congolese people some form of stability & create an environment for growth and progress.

Ferre is a great formateur, Arnake, Limousine, Nicodem, the female girl who sang Abeti Faux with Heritier and many others were his creation

Limousine? I thought he came from Adolphe

Ferre really enjoys being on stage. It's so natural for him. He doesn't struggle one bit
