I was listening to Viagra by Academia, and some songs of Les Marquis today, and I thought to myself how both groups really complimented each other, and how both departures from both groups really made both Koffi and Werra come with something special in response.
So my question is pick any groups, any musicians, which other offshoots do you wish had happened or also do you wish any more members had joined Academia or Les Marquis when they started?

when there was the ban for europe,mr simon but also those who had personal issues with jb tried to lure the group into rebellion like it happened with heritier's group, promising them hefty bonus when joining the plan then guaranteed nice salary every month(thats why kibens did  in jdl's baron "po esika tobandaka na sulutani bozalaka te" to remind them that he could not throw away decades of friendship like that by leaving and influencing other musicians apart
loool when my brother who is in their admin told me about it he said djino who wast the most vocal most arrogant among the younger guys was about to cry when he saw kibens taking jb apart like "mpiano faut to solola" and explaining him everything, which blocked the typical reaction of our leaders of storming into the rehearsal and start suspending left right center :D :D :D :D
the guys wanted kibens to take chai jdl rio genta caludji sunda, one of the reserve drummers and one of patou solo or ficarre to have a backbone they did not approach seguin knowing that was like approaching jb himself since he is a master snitch

The rebel band of King Kester Emeneya, Dindo Yogo, Djuna Djanana, Esperant Kisangani, Fafa de Molokai, Bipoli, Beniko Popolipo, Pinos and Patcho Star in 1980. Them starting it in Lingwala, but Bipoli snichting them the next day and them all returning one by one, leaving Emeneya and Popolipo alone.

The original Nouvelle Generation de la Republique Democractique, of Reddy Amisi, Stino Mubi, Lidjo Kwempa and Luciana Demingongo.

The band called "Cour des Grands" created by Lidjo Kwempa who just returned from Kinshasa, Stino Mubi, Gloria le grand Bulukutu and guitarist Yves Demukuse in 1998 (all being mad at Wemba, for more being concentrated on Nouvelle Ecriture). But the band just lasted a few months and staff members convinced them to rejoin Viva La Musica. From the moment that they rejoined, Viva La Musica got renamed Viva La Musica 'Cours des Grands'. But for whatever reasons Gloria would not participate at Zenith.

The original Wenge Tonya Tonya that Adolphe Dominguez tried to create after Bercy, by trying to lure with the money of his brother in law Rami Amisi, the musicians Flamme Kapaya, Japonais, Ferre Gola (by saying that Heritier was about to take his place), Didier Lacoste, Adjani, Serge Mabiala, Celeo and Sankara de Nkuta. But it didn't work, because he was quickly snitched by Sankara (who wanted to get in Europe) and some musicians.

The rumors of Alain Mpela being mad about to not being paid well after Bercy and having created BCBG Musica with the PPU's and a few musicians of Wenge BCBG. Back at that era, BCBG's claim that it was rumors spread by Koffi, to destabilize the band.

Quartier Latin in 2003 at USA. When rumors were spread that the whole band left Koffi alone with Nseka and the dancers, after performing in Miami. It got quickly denied, but it seems that tensions were still continuing and then a rumors being spread by the press that musicians of Quartier Latin were mad that he was touring in Europe without them (I don't remember if it was when Koffi performed in London with Champion and session-musicians or Koffi with Ferre and his ex'musicians), the press claiming that he created a Quartier Latin aile Paris and that those left in Kinshasa would never tour in Europe again, which made those left in Kinshasa create a rebel-band with Fally on the top. But it got also quickly denied.

Maison Mere in 2007, before that they returned to Kinshasa. The press claiming that Celeo Scram, Heritier, Flamme Kapaya, Kakol J3 or somebody else were mad about the money Werrason paid to them after staying 6 months in Europe and them creating a rebel-band with Didier Lacoste, who already left and help him recording his solo album "C'est par la, la solution".

Didier Lacoste, Shella Mputu, one singer (I don't remember who) and Washington forming their own band, when they in Europe with Wenge Tonya Tonya, but things not going well (the tour-promoters not being serious, most musicians not being paid and not having a place to sleep). Shella Mputu who was acting like he was Lacoste's friend, then quickly snitched him to Adolphe,  Adolphe rewarded him by giving 2 extra-songs in Mouna (l'Homme Unique & Do), ripping Lacoste's role as president off and made Shella Mputu the vice-president. Adolphe was really mad at Lacoste and if it wasn't the donors, then he wouldn't put the song Inspiration in Mouna anymore. But karma would hit Shella later on. Until this day Lacoste deny it, but Shella sometimes confirm it in interviews, acting like it was Lacoste's own idea.

This is off-topic, but Didier Masela joining Wenge BCBG in 1999. I saw the VHS of "Les Assises de Papa Wemba", which was a press-conference of Papa Wemba to promote his first Zenith-show and in the bonus they said that Didier Masela was about to join. Then yesterday I saw an interview of Marie Paul talking about Didier Masela, claiming that he was about to join Wenge BCBG, but later on changed his mind, when Wenge Maison Mere received the visa's for U.K.

Babia and Willy Bula joining Academia in 2000 around the same time Suzuki did. The Chorus of Sam, Modogo, Bouro, with Babia, Suzuki, and Willy would’ve been special.

Quartier Latin rebellion in 2005/06 led by Fally, Fally himself indirectly confirmed in an interview once that something was about to happen. @Mfumu do you have any idea which musicians were rumoured to be a part of that plan?

Les Marquis with where they tried to get Fally, Jordan Kusa, Shella Mputu, Genta and others to join.

If I remember well they said that almost the whole group was behind Fally and that they were about to add Jordan who already left.

There are people who claimed that Babia joined Academia for real. If it was the case, I don't know what made him made return Quartier Latin again while they were about to tour in Europe with Beniko Popolipo and those who they  recruited in Kinshasa. Maybe that Koffi did the trick to Rocky Blanchard back in 1998, not wanting to see him tour in Europe.

Babia made a mistake returning to QL instead of going to Academia, it would’ve given his career another boost, especially since he most likely would’ve added a song in Viagra.

Another Academia led by Fally would’ve been interesting, it might’ve given the rest a better chance of a career rather than the one they had after leaving QL to go solo.

Yeah bro, Ferre and Bill even called Fally a couple of times to get him to join, but he declined because he was happy with his chef role in QL.
I also think the rest of them declined because they didn’t see a future in Les Marquis like Baby. Also it was a blessing in disguise they all didn’t join, because for sure all the leaders would’ve united and have them shut down a lot quicker.
Don’t forget most of them were chiefs in their own group, so I doubt it would’ve worked especially with leaderships and egos, like I don’t think Fally, Jordan and Shella would accept Ferre and JDT being their chefs.
