It seems like people can’t express their opinion or disagreement no more without someone being upset or crying about being disrespected..seriously this is getting ridiculous. What’s the point of being on a forum such as this if you’re easily offended. The way things are going I will end up leaving this forum because it’s becoming abit iffy. People need to man up, take banters and stop taking things so seriously. We all have lives and this isn’t a place to take everything that serious.

I agree 100 % with your post. It's becoming quite weird. Like for an example: if you express your opinion about not liking the artist music, you're being labeled as a hater, or you're getting attacked smh. People on this forum defend artists more than they would defend their own family member in a fight lmfao. It's never that serious btw.

Guys, the problem is not with the topic about praising or critisizing an artist, but being tactful. Some people take things easily, some are more serious about them. You have to consider both type of people in a community.

Not that i want to single out somebody, but it seems its from a certain period coinciding with arrival of certain members that this situation appeared and got many of us kinda nervous, because i sincerely do not see anything worse these days that  in the 6 7 years,i have seen much more heated times than that, but nobody left nobody threatened to leave
i think we just need to chill and enjoy the forum, and also try to understand each other better
if there was even just one malicious person between us,for those who have been around since older forums i think we know what it is when some people are really poisonous,i am sure that person would have been unsettled naturally or feeling unsettled
so i think its a simple matter of understanding, because i can guarantee there is much more negative things in a single congolese youtube video than in the whole history of this forum and its "father" combined

But let us mention that in case people who feel offended don't let their voice heard either by the help of a PM to me/DJ Sly or publicly in a post, the situation cannot be improved. Becuase it can happen that the offender did not mean to attack anyone anyway, and the whole situation is just a misunderstanding, but even if it is serious, without a notice the situation cannot be improved. We the admins have no time to be here 24/7, and have no budget to utilize a dedicated moderator, who can track what's happening non-stop.

And I would not denounce any members who joined in recent years. Anybody is welcomed who wants to join, and who is willing to conform to the behavior that we expect here from members, even if they make a mistake here and there.

People need to grow thick skins in forums such as this. I personally get bored if everyone agrees with me or is agreeable to everyone. Many times as humans we have opposing views not so much that we don't agree but that we want to solicit for some more information from a person we might be disagreeing with.

This is the only forum where I find balanced coverage of all artists because of the fact that almost every major artists has his loyal fans who defend him to the hilt so for some of us rumba enthusiasts from outside of the DRC we might not say it but we learn a lot from those for and those against a certain artist for example.

Am in a number of rumba whatsapp groups where believe you me those groups don't even deserve to be called rumba groups because all they do is post about who is wearing what among rumba artists, which artist is hitting/hit on who, this and that artists  have this child. All boring stuff. No mention of who wrote and composed what song, who played what type of guitar, why was a certain song composed etc.

My appeal though is to the "banter specialists" :D to tone down a bit because it's obvious people react differently to banter. But leaving the group should never be an option.

Come on whoever wants to leave let them leave and the show will go on. Where there are two or more people you definitely expect different opinions which should be respected by all members for as long it doesn't infringe with the group's rules. Otherwise those who look forward to leave, well and good will remember your contributions but definitely not miss u as individuals coz we all joined this forum for the common good which is Congolese Music.

I don't post often, but I post, .....Seriously a forum is just what it is. Different opinions on the same topic. Not too many places to go for this kind of atmosphere. Live and let live people

In school you get a topic and we all give different answers on the same topic. Lets remember this is a hobby not life and death. If someone disagrees with you thats fine. Imagine if we all drove the same type of car or wore the same type of clothes. Dont get offended people. Thanks
