He alluded to the promoters not meeting their engagement....

Does anyone really know what happened?

One relied in autotune and the other one on pure talent and raw...you figure it out
Lol yeah I understand. Did you watch both performances?

Jopanais worked with Ferre in QQJD remember but there wasn't a big difference.
You're right. That générique was lackluster. But after mi-ange, i think Japonais could still pull something.

I think I have watched both shows, Ferre nailed the Regarde Moi song and got the reaction (joyful) from the audience  that Fally hardly gets on that venue in terms of whole performance, Fally has variety and his band is sort fun to watch regardless of the now boring dances but live the King is the King.
Thanks for your response. In watching Fally, it's easy to see how well he has mastered the stage and delivering shows. It's seamless transition between sets, professional, and almost too easy.

Recognizing at this stage in their careers they make different type of music, do you think Fally's style of music is better for live concert? More urban, more upbeat, almost the same type of show over and over (resulting in mastering the details) compared to Ferré who is alot more mellow and focussed on the vocal execution?

Nzinzi is the song that got me interested in Kester.

As someone who occasionally listens to Kester, I recognize his grandeur and significance to our music.

Can you guys enlighten me and elaborate what made Kester great and so revered by many? In other words, what was special about Kester?

As I always say, the reason why our music will never move forward are these. Bro even Drake and Meek Mill squashed their beef and made a song togheter why Congolese artist can't do the same?

I blame the staff members who talk BS about someone so they can appease the other. Of course, our artists have these complexes so they probs agree with their ass-kissers.
I'm glad you mentioned Drake and Meek situation. The difference in my opinion with western artists in my opinion is the financial implications. More than ever, these artists and their management team understands how to capitalize off beef (create buzz) and then how much they can gain from squashing beef.

Congolese artists in my opinion lack this awareness. Rather they are stuck in this vicious cycle or false superiority complex (esprit Wenge). They don't truly realize how much they can actually benefit from working together (new markets, different fans, more streams, sponsors, productions). Business is business.

Live performance from both artists is now available on YouTube. 24 hours later, who in your opinion had a better performance? Let's try to be objective in our analysis.

I've commented on the Ferré concert in another post. And Archos also intervened and presented some good points. I'm still taking in Fally's performance so it's only fair that I watch it entirely before I comment.

I'm curious to hear your opinions.

Good album, 2nd listen it’s a must. Fanatique song, lovely. Beautiful melodies throughout the album.
What’s your favourite song? For me the Generique Champion and Berado Prince de Zamunda have been on repeat.
I'm currently stuck on the générique. It deserves a proper video. Alvarito killed it!!!

Which makes me think, how sweet would it be if Alvarito (or even Japonais) worked with Ferré for a générique? If he can bring out the best out of Deplick, imagine what he could create with Ferré.

Nice tune.

Why not just  feature Gims instead blatantly trying to copy him.
Probably because he haven't the money unlike Fally
That's true. But also, artists do featuring with other artists they like. I'm sure Gims (and his brother) know of Fabregas especially after the success of Ya Mado. So I'm willing to bet it's not just about lacking money.

Bro that's the industry I mean don't you think Werra, JB, and others would have loved to work with Michael Jackson at his prime? Of course but they hadn't had the fund for it. Fabregas is rich but I doubt he make more than 100k and knowing how much Maitre charged 50 k for three songs at stad the France how do you think Fabro will lose half of his wealth to feature Gims?
I'm not disagreeing with you. What is was trying to get at is that some artists may do features based on appreciating eachother. The money will always be part of the equation 100% as you mentioned.

In this particular case, Fabro idolizes Gims soooooo much to the point of making en entire song sounding like Gims. It's a true homage. If Gims rated Fabro, couldn't a feature be possible?

yeah i get your points i'd say like in football there was a bit of rustiness after not playing for a while(in this case touring abroad in a very demanding country) also his selection, leaving hadji solo out i dont know why when charlie solo has not evolved  in 8 9 years  if not more the absence of somebody like ilunga even if his style of dancing is a bit stereotyped when you are used to him,but his body makes him an attraction , the choice of blaise as only atalaku while there is blaise, dupidi, yorobo, kunzardo and others
as much as i hate his lalalalalalaa arrrrr kata musique bercy is tailormade for this type of shows abroad ,even a gesac would do( i mean a more energetic atalaku than blaise)i am sure even ruth would have done better if she did not go solo
maybe ferre should give himself a 6 month accepting some contracts he usually rejects over number of people he can bring(here it looks a reduced squad) to build(again) for his group reflexes in order  to be automatic and proactive
i know they have experience of touring already but once you think youu dont have to learn anymore you are on the bad path
You make a good analogy about rustiness. Let's hope his management team can learn from this show. But I'm glad the show was a success, much deserved.

I will preface this by saying I'm a big fan of Ferré. However, this was not his best performance in my opinion.

1. Calling on the ingénieur de son multiple times was distracting and took away from the show.

2. As he was about to song regarde moi, je does a U-turn and goes into like 5 other songs without warning. Could tell it was related to the same ingénieur de son issue.

3. Awkward interraction with the public. Can tell he's not comfortable in French (though that's not a problem). It just that when he tries to communicate with his public it just comes across as single words instead of complete thoughts. Also, when that first woman with the purple dress came on, Ferré was shy. The second woman, he goes cette fois-ci je vais toucher. Lol just that akwardnes.

4. Blaise Créateur is a good studio atalaku. But he could not carry that show by himself at all.

5. Maybe because it was a VIP concert, but the seben parts were so wack. After kipelekese, the band went into a sort of freestyle (and Blaise Créateur failed to deliver). At one point it just became way too long, there were no enthusiasm. And when Ferré left to change it was also awkward as the band were unsure to continue or not.

6. Regarde moi performance was powerful and he killed it. Don't know why he attempted to do it the second time around...only to stop mid-May. Also, who the hell was that came who came on stage as Ferré started singing the second time?

7. Great singing as always. But overall boring show in my opinion. Again, I'm a big fan.

they had to perform facing zaiko and they perform well very well but did not expect zaiko to have prepared it this well, like werra said in a recent interview they took it like an honor to perform with elders while zaiko took it as competition at all levels, and nioka longo stepped on stage bare feet(which has some symbolism in those spirituality musicians believe in) and they put on a great show
they had to have a revenge and in order to make a great impression werra and jb went to go and see saddam mobutu to get a tank from army and they got it but then an heavy rain started which made it impossible for concert to happen

Surely that would have been legendary haha.

Thanks for the background info.

in short he is saying that he started developping taste for music at home with his mother singing in groups of praise for mobutu and when going to buy stuff he was hearing music of viva la musica and co then he made one step further  in school groups until he came in wenge via jb and makaba and he was tested on a song of his own and they iiked it a lot so he joined them and ado asked whether it was not too hard for parents to accept and he said on his case what happened is that his parents were reassured knowing that jb werra and co's parents had a job of high responsability so they would not let their children become thugs like the reputation of musicians suggested
he threatened not to sing in mulolo because of a disagreement with the guys so they put young alain mpela then 17 to sing but his voice was not mature enough yet so he could not fill that role so they had to beg him to come and sing which he did
he said he has never been an official admin but he was just behind the 4 admins as chef of discipline and was asked about tutu caludji's suspension and admitted he did not remember well but for sure it was something wrong so he had to be punished
about salaries he said each of them 6 big names had their salaries depending on their status, then simple members also had a certain hierarchy in their salaries
he talked about how saddam was liking them a lot and giving them money  and then also talked about his sad incident we mentioned above
he also explains whats according to him esprit wenge, respecting everybody but not fearing them, and certainly not letting them bully you and he says he misses those days of wenge 4X4 because there was true love even if today he has doubt whether it was comedy or genuine love given how hard it is for them to be anywhere near as close as in the past
He said that each of them  wenge singers had his particularity and its that diversity of skills which created a big force, and his voice was very present in wenge's music  because he was the first singer to sing in studio he was giving the direction of chorus under coordination of alain makaba then jb werra adolphe would sing next, then in the long run he started doing that "backbone of the chorus" role with alain mpela and aimelia before jb werra and adolphe stepped in,which is why until today its easy for him to reproduce wenge4X4 style of songs since he was the central voice in shaping the chorus,so it would  be easier for him to find people to do kinda like jb,kinda like werra and so on
and he said alain makaba is an absolute genius of music could play every of the instruments sing tenor 1eme and 2eme voix but joked that his only artistic flaw was that he could not dance in sync with the music
Could you expand on that fara fara they had against Zaiko? Where he mentioned that Zaiko a gagna bango.

What was it about?
