So QL's version of 12 is called 24. Man Fally, Gibson, Soleil and co really killed QL in the long run with their childish diva behavior. So they didn't want any new people to join or even former members returning, preferring to have the group to themselves. From 2002 to 2006 they were really dominating and giving a hard time to new members.
That's Ferre, Mboshi, Junior, Mirage, Tonton Lay, Asso, CNN, Tshe Tshe de Balle, Shella and Modogo all had it hard in the band because of them.
No wonder Aliane had to step in and tell Koffi that he needs to manage his band but it was already too late as the band was on the verge of imploding with all the ego wars.

There is three codes in latino(unless it changed) 24 which is soft but constant bullying,seringue (tonga) which was initiated by fally and jipson joine sometimes by either jordan soleil or  montana which consisted in reuniting to create things to report to koff about new members

I was surprised to hear that him and Asso were supposed to be on the affaire d’etat recordings and tour, and they even had vocals and were working on Felly’s song Je t’en prie. Something tells me they also had vocals in Danao which were done by Chamberton and Paparazzi Toto since they’re both similar in voice with Junior and Asso.
Hmmm I honestly think if Depitcho, Mamale and Champion or even Sam were still around in QL during them years then it would’ve been very different, because after those guys left Fally, Soleil and Jipson’s reign of terror in the band really started and when Depitcho, Mamale, Champion were still in the group Fally and co really humbled themselves. Because if you look back during the Sam era of QL or even Depitcho’s era they weren’t that bad as Chef’s and weren’t really bullying new members.

and you are right,we can see in that video after depitcho left that it was some more freedom for the guys,just look at how vocal our man el mara was in that video mamale being very laid back and shy was easier to deal with while depitcho was tough despite that glamour image(lol the amount of shoes these guys cleaned for him hahaha) but like you said there was way less tricks (but there was still spiritual competition though)

The reason why I'm saying Fally, Soleil, Jipson and co ruined QL is because they really tried blocking the rise of youngsters and new members which in the long run cost the band.
For example the previous generations didn't act like that otherwise Suzuki and Willy Bula could've easily blocked Babia's rise, along with Sam and co could've blocked Bouro's rise and they could've really blocked Depitcho's arrival with him the same he could've blocked Fally's rise easily since he was very very powerful.
Also those same guys tried to block Montana's arrival and Bouro's return but it was Mamale and Champion that stood up against them accepting those two to join the band.
So if Fally and co gave chances to the new guys any one of those people could've easily filled the void left by Fally. I honestly believe if Junior was given the opportunity he could've taken Fally's spot after Fally left and him alomg with Asso and Mirage could've lead the young QL team.

About Junior Kingombe and Asso's recruitment in 2001, what was the reason and who in Quartier Latin started the rebellion ? It's the first time that I heard about, it was also never reported in the press. Because in 2003, when they went to the US they also started a rebellion after performing in Miami. The press claiming that the whole band left Koffi alone, but the day after it, it got denied (I guess that they saw, that USA wasn't a good place compared to Paris to start a band).

The same was about to happen with Modogo, Mboshi and Champion in 2005, but they were lucky that Aliane intervented, saying to Koffi that its his band and not that of Fally and co. In 2002, Champion was about to rejoin after his short time with Wenge BCBG, Koffi accepted him band and gave him some money. But he ended up by not rejoining, because Koffi said that he had to talk with Titina & Cambodge and both guys refused with Champion wanting to fight to Titina. In 2001 when they were in Europe, Koffi recruited Papy Jah of Extra Musica to fill the void left by Eric Tutsi & Babia Ndonga. Then when they were about to record Effrakta, Fally Ipupa, Soleil and co attacked Koffi openly in the studio. Saying that he was about copying Werrason, saying that he recruited Kerozene to copy Bill Clinton and Papy Jah to copy Ferre Gola. After that Soleil and Gipson threatened him, asking him if he had strong nkisi, showing some of them to him and saying that they would attack him, which made him leave. In 2000/01, Koffi recruited in Abidjan Pierette Adam's solist Champion Vualu who used to play for Wenge Kumbela (he would rejoin around 2011 and become for a time chef d'orchestre before joining Heritier's band), but Felly Tyson never gave him the chance to play lead.

Savanet Depitcho was chef d'orchestre for a short time in Quartier Latin. After that Academia was created, Do Akongo replaced Sam Tshintu as chef d'orchestre. People though that Depitcho was the chief, because of his charisma and influence, but it was Do Akongo. Then when Do Akongo left, Depitcho automatically replaced him. After Depitcho's departure it was Champion Djikapela who became the chief and adopting the nickname "Number Two". But when they came in Kinshasa, some musicians who couldn't stand him and wanting to replace him would often report bad things to Koffi Olomide who was spending long times abroad (releasing the videoclips of Force de Frappe, negotiating the Parc de Princes-event which didn't work, negotiate the next tour, etc). Champion himself also messing it up, being chef d'orchestre, but often coming late or not showing up during rehearshals, the days that he would come he would his friend Chico drumming and him just sitting like Koffi. That's why when Koffi came to Kinshasa, he confronted him very hard and made Felly Tyson the new chef d'orchestre (having in Europe already spread the news to his staff that he would leave him behind in Kinshasa along with CNN, Mamale & Eric Tutsi who had also problems with him, but those who were part of his staff in Kinshasa saved Champion on the last minute).

It’s crazy how those guys were so insecure, Gibson knew Koffi wasn’t feeling him much in the beginning because he tried to find ways to get rid of him, he also tried replacing him with Paparazzi Toto and left Gibson behind for an African tour and brought Paparazzi instead but then at a concert he realised Paparazzi couldn’t go high on notes like Gibson did so he called his staff to get Gibson on the first flight to join them.

I think Junior’s exaggerating a bit on his story because he said on his song Exploit he sang for a total of one minute on his own song which isn’t true,
and about them isolating him from the monde arabe clips he said he wasn’t in both clips of the Generiques which isn’t true he’s there but in L’autre la he’s absent for the studio part where they’re dressed in red and after Fally left QL and had his first concert Junior came as a guest for the concert so it seems like they became close during the last few months of their time in QL.
