PRIVATE LIFE AND PERSONALITY

bienvenue mpela was born on 5th of august of 1975,he is the son of papa yoka mpela jean robert and marie bilepo "queen mother" and was given nickname bouro since his birth because he was overweight and it then remained for life
he was born like we all know in a family of musicians with parents,grandparents and brothers and sisters who either have done a career in music or have it as a passion and are talented
he has a relationship with singer laetitia melody and he is father of 26 children(he recently said in an interview that he got a call from eastern africa to announce him about a children he left there) he calls his "mpela crew" and that he wont mind having much more because its a blessing to be able to give birth
bouro is a very positive person with a lot of determination  and ambition,he is also known to be quite generous
like his elder brother alain,he is also passionate about politics and likes to learn a lot through tv and books,this is something most of the mpela children have inherited from their father
he is born christian but also often claimed on tv being a rastafarian

ROLE MODELS AND DEBUT AS A SINGER

his first and absolute model is tabu ley rochereau,then like his elder brother bouro appreciates king kester a lot aswell as papa wemba
like his brothers he grew up listen to ok jazz since his dad was a big fan and also discovered latin music when his dad once went and return from argentina and became a great fan
his two last main models are koffi he will work for like we all know and jb mpiana he lived with for some time
bouro starts singing at church and later when his brother alain joins wenge musica he starts rehearsing with him at home,or with willy bula the younger brother of alain's colleague in wenge blaise
in 1995 he goes into street music and plays in several group at the same time,focusing more on school
like willy bula recently revealed,bouro and him rehearsed together but when another  young musician fally ipupa came bouro was refusing to sing when fally is around
he will then join the group golden tchatcho of europe based duc herode,alongside the likes of flamme kapaya,serge mabiala,celeo,jitrois,jordan kusa,sunda bass,strelly mikobi.... to interpret in concerts songs of duc herode's album glamour completely written by felix wazekwa and interpreted with koffi olomide and quartier latin
one year later,when willy bula decides to leave quartier latin,bouro gets his baccalaureate which helps his father accept his desire to become a professional musician and he joins quartier latin as willy's remplacement
this is  the birth of the king of ndombolo....

FROM JUST BEING THE BROTHER OF A MUSICIAN TO BECOMING AN AFRICAN FAN FAVORITE

when bouro arrives in quartier latin he impresses with his voice when asked to interpret koffi's old songs during tests,but then completely amazes koffi when its time for dancing as he comes in with a new dance called ndombolo and has a very energetic style of dancing which koffi vows to exploit in concerts
he participates in quartier latin album ultimatum and becomes straight away an influent member of the lineup,combining his beautiful voice and excellent dancing skills
he quickly becomes a fan favorite and shines at national and international level and participates to koffi's solo album loi focused around ndombolo
bouro is given the nickname gecko refering to the way he dances and zizou zidane ballon d'or as to show his importance in the lineup
in 1998 he adds his first song ever "likombé" in group album droit de veto and is ofcourse part of the lineup when koffi and quartier latin perform at olympia and zenith and he shines but feels a bit uncomfortable,as a new member savanet depitcho came in the group and is given  a similar or even better treatment from koffi
apart from that,he is also unhappy over some issues in the group and will  leave along with somono dolce,sam tshintu,lebou kabuya,pathy bass and mboshi lipasa to create quartier latin academia
in academia's first album sanction,bouro has one song "da silva" and their album is a big hit,they sign with a great french label secteur a and get longterm french papers
when the group returns home for the first time,bouro is there but surprisingly misses out on second tour,as he is approached to return to quartier latin,and does so towards the end of 2000
he features in clip of group album force de frappe and  gets straight away his usual role of one of the group's best dancer and singer
one year later he participates in koffi's solo album effrakata with several vocals and co leads the song washington with him
later on,he adds his second song in quartier latin,calvaire,in the group album affaire d'état and that song is much appreciated,one of the most appreciated of album
surprisingly shortly after bouro leaves again,for undisclosed reasons but rumours are spread that its because he cannot accept fally overshining him
he then does not participate in koffi's album monde arabe and remains in europe and will  be proposed by cameroonian promoter moovison to record an album with his elder brother alain
in 2005,album mortel combat is out,with bouro having songs like salsa rumba congo and album is of a high level of quality as could be expected from two talented musicians and important contributation from clan wenge genius alain makaba
while remaining in europe he will meet koffi at a hotel and koffi will propose him to come back in quartier latin which bouro accepts after incomprehension with producer over promotion of mortel combat
but when he rejoins most of the group album danger de mort is done so bouro just have little interventions and he is officially presented back in the group at elysee montmartre
 he returns home with the group and tours at african level with the group and witnesses departure of fally ipupa who has been allowed to release a solo album
 this gives him desire to also do a personal album but koffi changes his plans and says clearly whoever wants to release an album is kicked out of the group
this ends up in bouro and a vast majority of those who participated in danger de mort going solo as bouro rubbishes koffi's decision of firing him,saying that he has full right to have solo project especially since he feels like there wont be group albums anymore
bouro then goes back to europe to work on his album vice de procedure which is released in 2008,it has rumbas,latin rhythms,folklore and seben and is of a really good quality but album is not succesful up to expectation from such a talented guy
he goes to settle in united states for a tour with his brother and couple of personal projects but unfortunately in 2010 he is victim of a serious car accident few days before a concert which makes him stop performing for a long time
few years after he moves back to kinshasa and decides to follow his brother seguin who wanted to present his kids to grandparents and ancestors for blessings over their life and will get a big inspiration for an album title
he announces on tv he is working on an album bokoko(tradition in english) to promote african tradition because many african have forgot their roots and turned almost europeans or americans
album should have been released in 2014 but on his elder brother alain's advice,he decides to take more time, rework some songs, do playbacks and concerts here and there to collect money as he produces album himself to make sure aswell that he will be able to do a proper promotion this time

Good bio, Wow Koffi accepting him three times is something. I guess he was way too late to have vocals in Force De Frappe. I didn't kkow he had a song called Da Silva. Can you do the ones I asked for next?

According Bouro Mpela in a interview 3 years ago, he said that Willy Bula was present when Koffi recuited Bouro, which was only 2 or 3 weeks before that Europe-tour of  1996-97. Willy Bula left Quartier Latin, when Koffi left him behind in Kinshasa along with Eric Tutsi and Babia(who wanted to attack Bouro with a beer-bottle, when he heard that Bouro would go to Europe instead of him)

I've heard that Bouro left Ql in 2004, because Fally snitched him to Koffi, that he had a secret relationship with Patience Ibe.

It was a mistake to rejoin QL in 2006, it was better for him to continue his solo-carreer straight away

actually koffi caught patience and bouro  on a plane in a quartier latin trip bouro had left his seat to come to seat next to patience whereas koffi wanted to do the same and when koffi caught them he told bouro,if you want to sleep with your dancers then create your bouro mpela musica (remember also how jitrois got poisoned when koffi saw cindy talking very very well with him or cnn with sandra)
patience was rumoured at that same time to have affairs with fally,him,heritier and bill

Babia tried to attack him for real ?? Hahaha. Like JF Ifonge said everyone had problem with him.

Archos I would like to know when Depitcho came to QL exactly. I wonder how Bouro was jealous of him because vocally he's better than him

Elaborate on this I heard Depitsho kept on gossiping to Koffi about Sam and other things so I think he has for the Academia departure but other than I do think with Geco it was pure jealousy.

This thing of having affairs with dancers ... Why do i get the feeling that Vieux Mopao does not allow dancers and singers to have r.ships? At all! I am taking the example of  Papy Kakol and linda mundele, bibi sucre and richard mukena, and many others I might not know...

there was also example of kibens and gentamicine of bcbg having their official girlfriends working in the group as dancers at some point,there was gesac who had a children with one of wazekwa's dancers....but in 99 per cent of the cases you are almost out of the group if you are in relationship with a dancer,let alone one of the favourites of your boss and especially if the girl seems to like you more
the most recent example is atalaku brandon forced out because of relationship with dancer cuisse de poulet
