Congolese Music / Re: WAS SEVE THE BEST ALBUM OF HIS YEAR?

This album is classic I don't know how I missed it............is there any other Zaiko songs that are nice like these ?

Plenty bro. I would suggest these two to start. BOH iniziale Guitar licks are something else

19 Minutes Des Ngwasuma is crazy as well

This album is the best album since ADBM by Fally

Mmm I can't say much about that because I struggle to remember all of the albums released after Arsenal De Belle Mélodies or Mélodie don't remember. Anyway it is a good solid album really being true to the Congolese roots and to the BaKongo roots of Zaiko. What surprised me is that Ya Jossart put a Tshiluba Song in the album the song of Tshala Meana.

Congolese Music / HOW DID BICORINE AND THIERRY DID IT?
« on: November 28, 2021, 06:38 »
Now being a very important member in Wenge after Bill and the rest of the first generation left its really hard, and becoming important in a short time aftertpu have been there is even harder, so how did Bicorine Makaba Arc En Ciel and Thierry Synthe became so much important in Wenge despite one (Bicorine) being there not for a long time, and the second Thierry Synthe being in and out of Wenge? For example why haven't Ali Mbonda, Sarah Solo, or Café Rhoum have given the same treatment there?

Congolese Music / WAS SEVE THE BEST ALBUM OF HIS YEAR?

I have listened to all of the songs of Seve and I have to say that for the first time since a long time there isn't even a single bad song on it. It is sad that Lola Mwana left because he really had a great a great chemistry with Vanguerard Mampuya and if well marketed they could have expanded Zaiko's brand way further than what it is now (who is already big) to be honest I would have loved seeing Lola Means being developed into a very strong second or third role. He was already but let's say he wasn't getting benefitted the way for example Kakol or Makaba are benefitting by being the number two and three of Wenge.

Congolese Music / Re: NEW SONG KOFFI OLOMIDE FEAT TIWA SAVAGE
« on: November 28, 2021, 06:15 »

I don't think the song is trash or even good. It is simply that Koffi hadn't trained enough in Afrobeat. If you wanna do a serious crossover you need at least to be prepared and do a song with serious dedication. With that said Tiwa of course look better because it is Afrobeat her own genre. But Koffi man, he looked really bad especially at the beginning that Pourri Pourri etc. Made me laugh at the beginning. KOFFI doesn't sing bad or out of key. But you can clearly see that it is out of his style. With that said yes the shit is really sad. Nigerians used to Copy us and now Congolese leaders don't even realize that we started trend and not followed them. If people are so hard on Extra Musica for copying WENGE we should also be hard on people who blindly follow the Naija trend. This comment under a Zaiko video summs what I am thinking the best

How dare he? He sings trash then he buys views. At the rate it's going, this trash is going to hit a million views in 2 days.
He doesn't need to buy views. Let's not spread false info. KOFFI is Koffi even if he says Aaaaaaaaaaaah for 3 minutes straight that will have a milion and Tiwa Savage also is not your local Atalaku speaking of how beautiful his husbands private parts is, she is a legend in her own way. I will listen to the music now and see what comes out of it

Great idea and the quality is way better then what Ndombolhono has released. Heritier professionally wise is moving in the right direction. He had a huge success with BM but it seems that he can't reach that level anymore. Don't know why.

Congolese Music / IS THIS ILUNGA?
« on: November 26, 2021, 18:28 »

At 2:52. How old is he? Is he a pigme or something? He is the guy who sang after being a dancer for a lot of time with Ferré right? I didn't even knew he was with Lacoste

I always thought Papy Jah and his brother Arafat joined them because they were left behind when Extra Musica International went to Cameroon & Europe for the super helico's album. I'll watch this interview later on tonight

Huh? Papy Jah and Arafat are brothers? What for real?

The boy is quite creative.

I wish he could have more time with Wenge, but at the same time he wasn't ready. Koffi got to be )between Ferré, Wrra and Koffi( the Leader who understood how to use him better

The idea was good but he needs to understand that in this type of music you need to be versatile and really sing your heart out (Like Maitrs Gims) or either let the singer handle it and you chaining in, because it was useless to use his voice as an Atalaku with such a chill beat he ruined what could have been a great crossover record

So while she was in viva she was dating fally, bouro and mamale, and patcheko in viva
ado is soooo suspect when interviewing women ,sooooooo curious

Lol what do you mean with Ado being curious? Lol anyway I think that Ado secretly always wanted to become a musician but he had like a strong social circle who kinda indirectly banned him from doing it. It is weird that he has so much passion for dancers questions and other things outside what a journalist should do. Anelka style is way better suited for interviews than Ado's one.
