from 27 00
and the studio version
most of the songs done in that short europe tour were average at best in terms of recording,it seems too done in a hurry
imagine the same generique with that typical fantastic jp kys song and a good clip and promotion and same from the telecommande generique it could have lifted a bit the anger of us fans for the wait in the meantime even the mpunda one  the original unreleased one done in kin was miles better than all the three done in france combined

they panicked and rushed in the mixing and so on because the trip was heading towards its hand and they thought it was classy to record in europe, in that album except jb songs done in his studio and in europe most of the best stuff was done in kinshasa without pressure
thats the bad side of having a 80 per cent finished album dwelling for months to wait to record in europe because it sounds cool and ending up doings things in a hurry
chai's voice sums it up,they were doing long ass sessions in a same day just to finish before returning instead of finishing calmly in kinshasa

To their credit, a few songs had decent sound. However, it was overshadowed by the large amount songs that didn’t

Mpunda came out too neutered and weak sounding after the censor committee took action

To be honest a lot of the live version of songs sound so much better and have better content than their recorded counterpart. I don't know why most bands do that, it seems like they stay conservative with their recordings.

In concerts, there is not so much limitation with space, so certain lines or improvisation by atalakus are absent or short in studio songs. same with instrumentalists and singers. Secondly mabanga is less in concerts than in studio versions...

Now coming to sound...............as long as JB Keeps that fake criminal engineer kibense close to his songs, nothing meaningful will come out. JB has never released any song as close to the sound of Vita Imana remix, Miss Margo, tendrement, Nyokalles, calment etc.....ever since he recruited Kibense to be his sound engineer. Go back to Titanic and TH when Makaba and Titina had a hand, then get back to me.

talking about TH. What made the drums sounding so bad, like it was recorded in studio Ndiaye or Meko? The drums on Mohammed Kaniansy sounds different then other sebene-songs, was that song recorded in another studio. The Tom-tom sounds very bad in that song.

Was the Ya Pas Match-single recorded in the same studio or somewhere else ? Because it had also a different sound, while it was recorded on the same moment with TH.

Y a pas match was done in france, kaniansy was recorded a bit in a hurry because its alain mpela who came with that offer, because when they went to play in guinea alain got many contacts  there(you'll notice bcbg started to do mabanga to a lot of diaby's,diallo and so on at that time)  when they made a quick tour before heading back to europe
indeed kaniansy programming started in meko  and was play by seguin who like we can see only delivers when somebody else tunes it for him(nzoto na nzoto, kindingu quel est ton programme, the kin kipe ya yo songs ...)

I remember Alain Mpela performing there in Guinea some months after he left. They could have been very influent in his career, if he was a successful solo artist.

Yea, Mohammed Kaniansy was really wealthy and influential in Guinea. Could’ve been really resourceful for them.

Alain starts his vocal in his song by saying “Mohammed Kaniansy wari digi” meaning “Mohammed Kaniansy pay us” in Mandinka like pesa mbongo
