Studio Ndiaye just took fire, it’s sad for certain people who were depending on that studio to make music

I actually thought the post was about some group doing great music at Ndiaye not the studio actually taking fire. I hope he have stored all those files in backups

what may "reduce "a bit the impact of this isthe fact most  artists work in3 4 5 studios for an album these days so they dont lose everything  too often unless they lose their hard disk or it messes like adolphe having to redo all album  from stracth with autotune to still release at expected date
but for sure there will still be quite some huge loss,if this was 10 years ago this was the whole congolese music in danger for a  while(it still is something very massive though,it would be a miracle if zero hard disk is lost in this)

However we may want to look at it, it is a huge loss. I really feel for the owner of the studio.

This is sad 95% of génériques from 2003 were recorded there, plus many legendary songs. Artists show pitch in to help Ingénieur full JP Kys for all he’s done for them

Masta @CM Prince I know joked about being tired of that electric drumset, but i didn’t expect this

Ah, African fire departments… showing up to the joint well after it’s been burnt to a crisp

Oh yeah absolutely we’ve spoken about the electric drums but none of us wanted this. Hopefully artists will pitch in but knowing their mentality I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Never forget this is the studio where we got the legendary Tindika Lokito, Alerte Générale, Longitima Skol to name a few.
