Checked to see if the was already posted. The vibe was completely off this concert for obvious reasons during the époque

Ah yes, the Zenith that hardly anyone talks about. Watching this, I can see why Koffi didn't release the whole thing or at least more than 20 minutes.

Bouro looked like he really didn’t want to be there, just look how he wasn’t even trying and how far apart he was from Jipson. It was weird to not see him standing next to Koffi like he usually was.

They were in conflict because of Patience. Bouro was not more singing next to Koffi for months, I think that it started after coming back from the US. Because at the concerts they made in Angola, GHK and Hall de la Gombe, he wasn't also standing next to Koffi.

Even in the US he wasn’t singing next to Koffi. I remember seeing the pictures of their tour online.

What about the first one in 2003 with Brigade and Kero? Apparently that one was better

The press didn't talk alot about it, because people were focused on Papa Wemba's arrestation 2 months earlier and a few weeks after Koffi's Zenith, many fans died when Koffi performed at the football stadium of Cotounou (Benin). Even if it would be mpiaka or sold-out, it wasn't special anymore because Koffi already performed there twice (1998 & 2001). The last one marked everybody, because it was the first concert of a band based in Kinshasa performing in the Schengen-area after the ngulu-affaire (Koffi claimed to have paid 150.000 dollars to Maison Schengen) and it also marked the end of the era Congolese bandleaders performing at big halls for a moment. 2 months before it, Wemba gave his first concert at Zenith after being released from jail and it was also a huge mpiaka. Emeneya then mocking both artists, being also mad that Koffi stole his new dance "enterrement" which back then a huge succes in Kinshsasa at concerts.

Should they have canceled the concert? I was surprised how weak the show was, did they not hav enough time to prepare?

Is it true Affaire d'Etat is Koffi least favorite album? He rarely performs songs from that album

Idk if it’s his least favourite, but Affaire d’Etat was a group album and all the musicians that put a song on that album have left, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to perform those songs at his concerts.
That’s like Werra performing songs of his former musicians from a la Que Leu Leu, or Jb performing Alain Mpela songs from Internet and Titanic, it just doesn’t make sense hahaha.
Also Koffi rarely performs songs from musicians that have left only in the odd occasion he can perform Julia, Urgence and Sens Inverse in the odd occasion here and there but that’s it.
In general leaders very rarely or almost never sing a former members song live.
