Quartier Latin Academia Viagra. I feel like I was being way too harsh on it since it came out till last year. I didn’t like the album because I was missing Bouro and because Sanction was such a master piece they set the bar high. But after listening the past year it’s a solid album, @Matebu you’re right when you say it’s the best sophomore album, I think the sebene could’ve been a lot more aggressive like Sanction but other than that I actually like all the songs on the album and I listen to it all the time. Also this album is where Sam sung his best in his career. Someone needs to do a review on this @Newside, @Archos or @Matebu

It's easy to think that way now because the album is top notch if you compare it to the stuff we've gotten recently. But it was definitely a lower tier album in the period it came out.

Of course but it’s actually a good and solid album and it didn’t deserve to flop the way it did, I actually love it all songs are top notch and let’s not forget the album was about maturity which they sounded. If it was released in 2000 it would’ve been better received, but of course they didn’t start touring and recording till the end of 2000.

Yeah you might be right about that. Was it released in late 2001? Same period as Effrakata?

Yes bro, I think a lot of people (like me too) had the same opinion because Sanction was fireeee... I have not listened entirely this album but by example I had a hard time to appreciate the generique because it was not played the same way as Sanction

Sanction will always be fire no doubt about that, the Generique took a long time for me to like, its not my favourite but especially with the generiques we’ve been getting recently it’s decent, Lebou didn’t play the way I wanted him to on the generique (it’s almost like he wasn’t giving his absolute best) but the Generique is decent. I’d advise you to listen to the whole album it’s actually very very good it’s a classic I’d give it a 10/10.
