alfred solo would have been perfect for maison mere but he likes that freedom of studio session guy otherwise he was meant to join even la team wata when he left from brigade and was also approached to join other groups
he fits what werra expects from his soloist, good looking confident and creative plus he has a bit of that "luck" you want from your soloist,in the sense that a lot of his work end up in success,or at least in attention, some soloists play well but lack that luck
mayi ya kamba could have nailed it but the guy looked like he wanted to shxx on himself as soon as werra was around, and that is the worst thing to do with werra as a soloist, its a shame fil indien is with but na filet or he could have had a return to maison mere,i remember he got arc en ciel extremely shook on his test i dont recall a soloist in the recent 10 plus years being that careless against werra and freely improvising even when he was put a trap on his path by kakol and co changeing suddenly tempo, also fitted that good looking goofy confident trait

There are two other guys tested besides Jiji and the other who played Operation Dragon was also good.

However there's a soloist he tested some years ( who was congratulated by Sarah Solo then) who effortlessly did
 Kapaya, Bikorine partitions.

I wish he stayed.

This guy is one of the best I have seen tested by MM.

I guess after Bikorine departure and the void that was left as there was no understudy then. He plays the notes so smoothly .

I also think Werra is rebuilding his team. They new vocalist is good ( who does Fabro/Ndombe/Mabiala) besides being active in dancing and will invigorate the team. He needs at least three more strong vocalists and dancers.

The atalaku part has beefed up well by Wasabo creations.

I guess he regrets leaving Maison Mere for QL

Ya Mukolo  waa originally with Werra Team B  before joining Chai.

Regarding Balotelli and Udjana. Werra requested Chai for the 2.

Ketto. Balotelli and Udjana will be his key dancers besides the other 2 young ones he had in the studio.

On solo guitar Vedes is much more refined and creative Yamukolo and Bunangana.

There seems to be a new singer on the extreme left after Travolta who is really struggling on dances.

I liked the Idiofa intro instruments specially the solo from Vedes and Ya Mukolo. He seems good to be the lead role in concerts.

Kimbangu is a refined guitar player.

Why everybody hating on Makaba? Can someone give me the full details of his solo? Actual music created by him?

Your opening  gambit about hating on him is wrong but you're asking the right questions........like you I also want to know what he created so I'll wait

Yeah you sound like a Makaba hater. He’s actually really good. He only really gets opportunities during repetitions and concerts. Werrason doesn’t give any opportunities to soloists anymore other than the usual generique or so. So it’s mostly Werrasons fault for not letting him reach his full potential on albums.

Are you referring to Bikorine?

Bikorine has been the main soliste since Kimbangu left. He played in all the albums after Kimbangu.  Makaba plays well though many like the fast paced and complex  tunes of Flamme.
To me having more than 1 soloist creates healthy competition and creativity like previously with Japonnais, Kapaya, Mboka Liya, Christian, etc.

Ya Mukolo had apparently played for 2nd Team and Werra wasn't even aware. He plays the partitions so well.

However the light skinned guy  really impressed.  Effortlessly played the Mboka Liya partition so eso crisply plus the muselu part. Am sure both will be recruited to join Mayi ya Lobo and Ong Back.

I think these two have impressed. The guitars are well tuned and the notes played superbly.

Ya Mukolo guys seems to be good. Let's give them a month or two and see if they blend with the WMM style of play and speed.
