It is not steaming services is Label not knowing their artists when you release music there is a date in which you decide what date the project was released, it is usually labels not paying attention to African artist since they are there just for a control aspect and not for caring about the artist well being.
Me being a Koffi Olomide fan from the day that I was born. I love his music a lot. (I was born between Loi & Droit de Veto, for context) I've always idolised the man, I've always looked up to him as a fantastic performer alongside his Quartier Latin band. I don't even know how to go about this right. I've always dismissed the sexual abuse allegations that went against Koffi Olomide. I always said to myself, "Nah, that's not my problem, I don't really care about that, I can just separate the art from the artist". When you read about these cases. Going away for 10 years and not attending a single trial date to defend yourself screams guilty.
However, when you've been a fan for a lifetime, growing up to his songs and watching VHS tapes and DVDs of him, it's hard. He may have done so much for Congolese music and created such massive milestones, but this is what ruins it. This is genuinely difficult to think about. What do you think? Honestly there are a lot of Ndombolo artist who still makes great music but we don't support their work enough, we think too much about the Fallys The Ferré's, Werra etc. But forgot that there are a miriad of guys who still do Ndombolo and get unnoticed if we don't support small artist how can we complain about Ndombolo not going forward when people are releasing music but we aren't supporting?
I don't think he is known much Congolese music is too wide and rich for people to listen to American artists plus most Congolese people don't have internet so even if they tried to expand their horizons a limited amount of People would have the internet to even know who DMX was
