As the genre declined in the mid-2000s on, he gradually move other interests; he's presently a freelance journalist for other topics based in East Sussex, England. I remember him being one of the first to predict that the Congolese music would suffer a sharp decline due to loss of creativity.

The last artist he worked closely with was King Kester, which happened to be his favorite artist. He is still an avid Congolese music collector/enthusiast and he used to active on some the now defunct forums.

His website, which was for a long time my favorite site on the internet is sadly no longer in existence.

Congolese music blogging used to be a lot of fun in the early 2000s with Muana Matchete, RonnyZee, Yvonne, Haha le prof, PC Mpondolo, Sly, VickyBenz, Tamando, Alex, Minu Nianda among others during the AfricaOnline era and the many other places we went to after. I used to be very active then and really enjoyed the informative interactions with the characters I mentioned above and more. Ronald aka RonnyZee was another of the most knowledgeable and supportive Caucasians I know of Congolese music and African music at large. He always made an effort to travel from Holland to France for most concerts, took pictures, interviews and provided in-depth reviews of concerts and new CDs.

It is a shame that these guys do not find our music pleasurable anymore and that they have moved on to other things and there are a few reasons that explain this. To start with, things started going south when that square headed women battering moron mutunguba Koffi decided to release a sebeneless Monde Arabe and everyone followed suit with rhumbas……… Secondly, JB Mpiana also had this hare-brained idea that he was going to be like Michael Jackson and produce an album every 5 years……. Well done you geniuses!..........Thirdly, the so called “combatants”…………..actually using a name that describes brave men on these cowardly bunch of burly lager louts is an insult. These muppets stopped European concerts and in a way killed off one of the distribution channels of Congolese music.

What happened next is quite comical. While Congolese music was in slumber, the Ivoirians took the initiative to steal the sebene, stripped it of most its guitars, added a few touches of their own and passed it as their own coupe decalle, leaving the Congolese with nothing to hold on to...............In addition to the horrendous music; we also didn't help ourselves with the constant bickering and petty squabbles.  It so happened that our group was joined by a somewhat shadowy character whose name I shall not mention and is married to a once famous musician now living in Texas. This woman claimed to protect Musicians’ interests and had a few of our websites shutdown because she didn't like the criticism we made about them.........that I think for some was the final nail in the coffin.

Haha vieux Papa PC- he was one of those uncles you loved to hate, but loved anyways. He had some wild theories and viewpoints at the time, but a lot of them actually turned out to be true. Simaro's #1 fan

Haha Le Prof was willing to defend Mopao to death on any subject pertaining to him ;D; I wonder how he feels about recent events and his releases.
