I have listened to the Patrouille Des Stars for a while now and I noticed that this guy Biraman is their main atalaku. The amazin thing about him, he can animate a whole song by himself and not make the generique or sebene monotonous. He's quite versatile and talented. Makes me wonder if atalakus fron Congo Brazza believe so much in themselve that they dont share the mic with another atalaku. It wasnt until recently that Extra Musica went to two atalaku instead of one. Is this a trend in Congo Brazza or atalakus from RDC are not just as versatile enough (or lazy) to do a whole song by themselves? I mean one atalaku vs. five or six on the same song. I remember when Kerozene was the main atalaku for Les Pipiyus, I couldn't take just him the whole generique. it made it a little boring.

But then maybe it is in the style of music. Someone please enlighten me.

It is just a coincidence, i think Patrouille des stars was going through some changing because now they have 2 atalakus for the group. all that said i salute your musical ear, biraman rouge is amongst the best in brazza , by farrrrrrr

man, tough one y brother but to me their best album is OBLIGATOIRE, the mixing is superb, the atalakus are excellent....People always ommit atalakus like kila Mbongo before he left but most of all ARAFAT 25OO volts who destroyed everything...

greetings,
sorry to burst your bubble but that dance is not new. buffalo brought it over from brazzaville when he danced with the likes of rodney moketonga (who dances at times with ferre when he goes to ivory coast). It is  a choregraphy that comes with a dance from brazza called akalebor or acalebo. Ferre has danced it before on plenty occasions.
