Back in 1997, it was a trend to get the nicknames "liberateur", "kadogo" and "cobra". Because back in those daysyou had childsoldiers (kadogos) of ADFL who entered Kinshasa and took the power, Mobutu going in exil and LD Kabila getting the power. Cobra's were those militia of Sassou Nguesso financed by France to get the democratic elected president Lissouba out of power, after signing a oil deal with an American company and bring dictator Sassou Nguesso back who was defending France rights and French oilcompany ELF.
I what to hear Regis Touba's version about Extra Musica, and the incident of Guy-Guy Fall in Mali. But he may refuse since that he became a brother in christ recently. Didn't Guy-Guy Fall leave just before the trip to Abidjan in 1997 ? Because I remember seeing him in some videotapes who came out after Confirmation, singing also lead on the songs they were preparing at that time for Ouragan (Mere S. & Reconnaisance). I don't really believe Roga's version, because why would Guy-Guy Fall attack Roga Roga in his songs Force de Frappe & Double Impact and interviews ?
lol, Roga Roga wanted to copy Alain Makaba by also singing his own song in Confirmation, Quetin claiming that he was obssesed with Wenge Musica. But if you ask Roga Roga it today, he will deny it and only mention Empire Bakuba and Zaiko as his rolemodels. It's also from that trip to Belgium that he bought the white steinberger-guitar that Alain Makaba used to have from 1994. If you look on the backsleeve of the Confirmation-album, you see Roga Roga being credited on every song as composer (except Espe's song), like the way Makaba did on the Anges Adorables-album except those were Fi-Carre played lead. In Etat Major he would play both rhtyhm and lead on the whole album, like Makaba did in the Kin E Bouge. Quetin had to block Roga, Espe and Ferreol's trip to Belgium. So the picture on the back, had normally to be the album-cover, if Quetin didn't insist to put Guy-Guy on the albumcover. I'm surprised to hear that Love in Love wasn't supposed to be in Confirmation and it quickly being recorded, without somebody knowing it and when being in Belgium, replacing the song of Guy-Guy Fall with that of Love in Love. Really sad that they cut Guy-Guy Fall's song out of the album. Roga's plan with Espe Bass was well prepared to get Guy-Guy Fall out of the band. Herman already being there and sung lead on Etape. They were lucky that they are from Brazzaville, otherwise Kongolo Mobutu would do them dirty lol. Espe Bass and Roga Roga really knew what they were doing, looks like they wanted already have a split, creating havoc in the band with that Succes Extra-song, by calling Doudou Copa & Guy-Guy Fall deep in the night to add that history-vocal, where they didn't mention Quetin Moyascko. If it was not their elders, he would already have left Extra Musica. About Roga-Roga being obsessed with Wenge Musica, was that history-vocal of Succes Extra, not inspired from JB's vocal lisapo in Daddet Mpoko, where JB sung the history of Wenge Musica.
