Listening to some General Defao songs (RIP) and Theo Mbala comes to mind as a prolific atalakou of the yesteryears. He was fluent and had the voice and memorable animations.  I could remember it was him, 3615 Code Niawu and Ocean Ebale that ruled the late 90s and early 20s. Nostalgia.....

Does he get your vote over Celeo though?

I dunno it’s close. I feel like Theo is a better leader in the atakalu world. He is carried cries on many albums himself. Celeo and Bill is the combo that beat remember really.

Back then, single atalakous had a very huge repertoire of animations. The ones todays are one hit wonders and no band or singer wants to have one single atalakou. At least two or ten (Fally) lol
