House in Goma (Kivu) ? He only went there 2 times before 2004 and doesn’t have family there.

He sold his two houses in Kintambo & Bon Marche for those videoclips they had to record for Miracles. When Lea Marquis des Garçons flopped he wanted to return to Maison Mere with Werrason promising to give him some to build/buy a new house. But then Koffi came with 15.000 dollars.

Btw is topic was already posted 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Marquis des Garçons had an album? I thought the concerts were not successful, I had no idea that spin off group released official recordings.

Les Marquis des Beaux Garcons didn't have an album. They existed just for 3 months. Ferre Gola was performing every week at Bibi Play. The problem with Ferre was that he didn't had donors, sponsors to support his band and his project to release an EP, while Bill Clinton had his own manager (journalist Zacharie Bababaswe), donors of his tribe and Bracongo as sponor. Ferre went back to Europe to bring the DVD of his first concert with his band on the market, but he was so broke that he contacted Werrason to return with then suddenly Wasenga Kipuni coming with the 15.000 dollars deal of Koffi and Ferre accepting it. His spokesman Zobozi (r.i.p.) took the band with then alot of musicians returning to Operation Dragon (Blaise Musikasika, Awulu Wala, etc.) which was the second band of Wenge Maison Mere,  some rejoined streetbands, others joined other bands. The rest remained loyal until that Ferre returned in Kinshasa in September 2006 before the recordings of Sens Interdit with him reforming the band and recruiting new musicians so that he could perform direclty after bringing his solo album on the market.

It's very sad the way things ended for Ferre, because he sacrified alot of things in hope to succeed with Les Marquis. He solded his two houses in Kinshasa so that they could use that money to record videoclips. Sometimes I think that Werrason used Zacharie Bababaswe to manipulate Bill Clinton in order to distabilize Les Marquis, but his anger towards Bracongo of Bill signing to Bracongo trought Zacharie with a better contract then him back in 2004 before the recordings of Miracles (with Bralima being aware about that a signing him illegal), made me on the same time reject that idea. It was very strange the way Zacle came and became Bill's personal manager instead of the whole band and that happened some days after that Mapata failed to get Bill Clinton back in Maison Mere, 2 months after the recreation of Les Marquis.

There were alot of problems in Les Marquis from day 1, because of leadershipwars Ferre vs JDT, JDT vs Ferre, Ferre vs Bill and Bill vs JDT.But they were still hungry to prove Werrason a point and to succeed with their band. In November 2004 Werrason release the EP 'Alerte Generale' which created an earthquake and in December 2004 Les Marquis released 'Miracles'. But their album wasn't well received in the beginning, since that the promo wasn't really done well, the videoclips weren't released at that moment and alot of people weren't even aware that the album was released. This all made people in Kinshasa and Paris saying that it was over for them, being also aware about the fights of Japonais, Bill Clinton, etc. Some weeks/days before the release Bill & Ferre said that they wanted to return to Kinshasa with the whole band to promote their album there. But JDT refused saying that they had to stay in Paris and wait for contracts, so that concertpromoters would bring to Kinshasa like they the way Francis Kalombo and Kongolo Mobutu did in 1992 and 1993 with Wenge Aile Paris instead of going to Kinshasa and looking for contracts there risking to struggle. Bill & Ferre didn't agree with JDT and decided to go to Kinshasa with JDT proclaiming himself 'Le Roi Marquis' and giving a concert at LSC which created alot of confusion in Paris and Kinshasa. Bill arrived as first person had received a big welcome like a big leader of the 4th generation with Luba-leaders and traditional chiefs blessing him and saying that he was the leader, etc. and his staff making it worser and starting to recruit musician, forming then his own band Les Marquis des Samourais. Then a week later Ferre arrived and received also a big reception by his fans. But then when he arrived he was suprised what heard about Bill Clinton (recruiting musicians, etc.), while they had to do it all together. With Ferre then trying to contact him, but Bill Clinton refusing and not wanting to hear him, etc. with Ferre not knowing what to do. He tried to contact Baby Ndombe to form a band together but he refused, hich led Ferre to start his own band Les Marquis des Beaux Garcons.

Here you got a video about those moments.

Wow so no one else besides Ferre could get funds to do the videos? So was Ferre homeless when he sold his two houses? Koffi came in clutch with that contract because Ferre would've had to swallow his pride and go back to Maison Mere.

No, he wasn’t homeless. Koffi was trying to get Ferre since 2003, but he was refusing. Then when Les Marquis was created he tried to lure Ferre again, but he kept refusing and after the release of Miracles he contacted all the keymembers Bill, JDT, Ferre, Japonais & Mimiche Bass to destabilize the band, because he was scared that they would dominate the Congolese music-scene. Then when Ferre came to Paris he came again with that offer and Ferre finally accepted it. Koffi, JB & Werra were happy when they heard that Les Marquis split. In an interview of Werrason & Marc Tabu in Brussels he refused to give Les Marquis good luck. In another interview made some weeks before that you could see on his face expression him being happy when the journalist informed him about the problems in Les Marquis.

It's good that Ferre finally had a break through and has had a really successful solo career after all the trials and tribulations.

He was really uncomfortable and irritated with the Les Marquis Questions. In hindsight, if Les Marquis had stayed together for even for five years they would have been a huge success. I can understand why the big leaders did whatever they could to cause problems among the main leaders of Les Marquis.

The fact that Les Marquis was destabilized like this by the big leaders, would this be one of the reasons why in the recent past after musicians leave big groups they don't want to team up to form a group?

yes, thats one of the reasons because now they could face two generations of guys wanting to block them, imagine for example les contremaitre really kicked from the start lots of contracts here and there a proper producer and so on and made a real real impact, given the history of our music i can guarantee the 3 F's and heritier would not mind associate if they saw the guys were becoming a threat and
then same thing has been happening since 3rd generation if not earlier
the other reason being ego,now you can find random band members  with a tiny little bit of success,or lets say people just know their names but in their head they are already convinced to be like afande or fally ferre in their chef d'orchestre days so they refused to be seen under authority of another one

Sorry to say but our jealous and egos really prevents us as blacks from excelling. You have guys like Chai Ngenge stuck with an album all because someone is pulling the strings behind the back so that it doesn't get released.
