Congolese Music / Re: STRANGE NAMES ON WENGE MUSICA LIST

Thanks for the answer Archos. I asked because I know some time ago, Werrason tried to convince Didier Masela to comeback but of course he did not.

I wonder if Didier Masela, Adolphe Dominguez and Werrason were close friends?

Manda Chante is most unlucky out of the Wenge clan. Despite making good music, nobody gives one damn about him.

Pelle, Amando Diego, Ali Muhammed etc, were very good at their thing, they retired, what is special about kibense?
They were athletes. Of course when  you do sports, you can do limited times. However Kibense is a musician. Music can be done anytime unless you are sick and not well.

... I wonder what will come out first , Ingeta or the ever talked about Primus single... ;D ;D ;D
I think Kaisari is making more sense than the Werra and Ferre camps. This looks phony to me.

Archos does make a good point. Franco did notice Wemba a lot. In fact in Franco's interview with Lukunku Sampu, he mentions Wemba

These songs need T-Pain. Everyone wants to do Autotune. Where is T-Pain when you need him.

I am guessing Abraham is the son of JB's first wife that later on went with Didi.

Congolese Music / Trivia for Grand Maitre Franco
« on: July 07, 2014, 20:28 »
Which singer said the following "My only regret is not collaborating with Luambo Makiadi alias Franco"

Choices are:
Defao
Koffi Olomide
Papa Wemba
Nyoka Longo

Who do you think said that?

Take your time Archos. Life can be a pain in the butt.

honestly i dont know exactly the songs but  it was in albums before 1990
You are probably right. Jules Kibens does know how to make good lyrics. Now I understand why JB values him so much. He is a good artistic person. EMO, you may hate Jules Kibens but he is creative. Kibens has been in the music scene for a long time. I am guessing that he is older than JB Mpiana. Pepe Kalle was one of his many artists that he wrote for.

I have questions
What songs did he write for Pepe Kalle? Were the ones that went to other artists?
What songs did he sing with Pepe Kalle?

Congolese Music / Re: PAPA WEMBA ADDICTIVE SONGS
« on: July 07, 2014, 16:31 »
One thing I notice is that Papa Wemba still sounds like Papa Wemba back in the day. Age has no impact. That is the reason why he is the top 5 or top 10 singers of all time in Congolese music.
