Yeah, summer 2001. Wenge Tonya Tonya came to the scene with a bang in February 2001 - producer mismanagement (Jacko Sayala & co) and treachery driven by colleagues killed the band rather quickly

In February 2001, Adolphe was still in Europe with his staff, while Eldorado was still busy with recruiting musicians. It was in March 2001 that Adolphe arrived through Brazzaville and giving with them the first concert at YMCA in Matonge.

In summer 2001, they were still busy with recording Affaire Tonya Tonya at studio Meko in Kinshasa. Wenge Tonya Tonya arrived in December 2001 with their first concert being at LSC. The concert at Olympia was their last of the tour, it took place on a sunday in the last week of May. Everything went wrong the during the tour, some musicians ending up by sleeping on the streets. After Olympia, Adolphe promised the musicians to pay them after Olympia, but most didn't believe him. Which made the solists Papillon, Canard, the late Fiston who used to play bass, singers Chibida Dumbu, Spino La Djatence stay in Europe. Adolphe even having to cancel his concert at Stade des Martyrs, because of looking them and paying New Jack-gangster money to kidnap them, but it didn't work. In Kinshasa, musicians were still mad, because Adolphe didn't hold his promise and guys like Washington joining Quartier Latin, Licha Shombo joining Cultura Pays-Vie, Didier Lacoste already getting to many 12 and returning to Wenge Maison Mere, Shella Mputu ending up by getting fired because of having a relationship with Adolphe's sidechick Irene Mokabila and being for a year umemployed before joining Quartier Latin.

I got never released on VHS and DVD. I remember that there was only a short extract in one of those polemic-VHS's. 3 years ago the late Charly Balaka asked in his interview with Adolphe Dominguez, why his Olympia never got released on VHS and Adolphe became mad and saying that he won't react to that, adding that it isn't a big problem because some fans filmed it with their own cameras.
