I think these two have impressed. The guitars are well tuned and the notes played superbly.

Sounds a lot better than the ones from last week. I need to hear more, but this guy is the best one so far.

The guy in a black t-shirt and blue jeans who plays at the beginning and comes back at the end already tested last week and was impressive as hell....they called him Ya Mukolo if am not wrong. Does this mean he was taken on board or is he re-testing? @Nkosi, you always seem to have the inside scoop....spill bro..

Ya Mukolo had apparently played for 2nd Team and Werra wasn't even aware. He plays the partitions so well.

However the light skinned guy  really impressed.  Effortlessly played the Mboka Liya partition so eso crisply plus the muselu part. Am sure both will be recruited to join Mayi ya Lobo and Ong Back.

I’m sorry but I really do miss Makaba. He’s a lot more creative than these guys. They’re all just playing the notes and there’s no improv

Are you joking or am I missing something?

Why everybody hating on Makaba? Can someone give me the full details of his solo? Actual music created by him?

Your opening  gambit about hating on him is wrong but you're asking the right questions........like you I also want to know what he created so I'll wait

Yeah you sound like a Makaba hater. He’s actually really good. He only really gets opportunities during repetitions and concerts. Werrason doesn’t give any opportunities to soloists anymore other than the usual generique or so. So it’s mostly Werrasons fault for not letting him reach his full potential on albums.

I love the resilience in noel ngiama.....
Never hesitates to dust his coat , pickup and start from scratch with new talents everytime a band member quits.
With all the negativity around....
I salute this guy.

Are you referring to Bikorine?

Bikorine has been the main soliste since Kimbangu left. He played in all the albums after Kimbangu.  Makaba plays well though many like the fast paced and complex  tunes of Flamme.
To me having more than 1 soloist creates healthy competition and creativity like previously with Japonnais, Kapaya, Mboka Liya, Christian, etc.

Three guys who impressed during tests have continued practicing with the band. They are trying out rhythmic and bass instruments as well. The best so far is Yamukolo, but they will likely keep all the three and allow them to grow with he band.

Yamukolo played sebene so well during testing of dancers.
