Congolese Music / Re: NOT EVERYBODY ARE AGAINST KOFFI
« on: July 27, 2016, 21:31 »
what's the most ridiculous in this affair is girls jumping in defence, every arrest  in drc have been done the way koffi was arrested including when koffi himself got people arrested... and its the same women sending posts and pictures causing 1000 plus comments of insults every week about being beaten, threatened or disrespected in general by men to labouche
other than the koffi thing i could notice once thing in my kinshasa stay which worried the hell out of me its that people are used to let everything go away except maybe thieves who receive street treatment until police comes, you can do whatever you want as long as  you make a sad face and say sorry its all over or you give some money,i have seen accidents killing people and the guys got away with 500 dollars to policemen to shut up and go back
this koffi affair could be a wake up call to the whole country but unfortunately i am almost certain that he will be released and cheered as an hero and all will be forgotten and powerful people continuing to mess with the rest
one day i will make a post of how leaders, donors and some europe guys treat dancers for example, many will be shocked
YOU HAVE TO, Congo is a wonderful country but has a lot of problems that music hides, the problem is that in a country with a lot of unemployment and problems, people will always try to give musician leader or influential people support and power in hope to get a job or some money, I support your choice.

Congolese Music / NOT EVERYBODY ARE AGAINST KOFFI

Wow, this girl called Clarisse Lizarazu defends Koffi saying that only in Kenya there are rules for not beating woman , and with muscians sacrifying people for their success and Kabila killing common people, there are more serious thing to think about, she the nconcludes that Koffi shouldn't face all he is facing because he is a great musician

Congolese Music / Re: MOPAO IN PRISON AND QL?...
« on: July 27, 2016, 15:12 »
Now that Koffi will probably face 18 months or less in prison, how QL is gonna face the temporary loss of his boss?.
Will Cindy become the president ad interim? Or maybe the long time member like Blanchard Miantezolo, or  Nseka Kudifelela will decide to take the lead? And now that Koffi is away who is gonna have the financial power to pay the musician and so on?.
In my opinion is gonna be a really bad period for QL however things will go.
There are two scenarios. 1. Koffi's jail thing to me is a public relations stance done by DRC Government for Kenya and Zambia as well as fans across the world. He will save maybe 3 months. 2. If he goes in 18 months, I see Cindy running it but just locally doing shows.
The fact is that a lot of guys in QL and some dancers too don't like Cindy as a person and they will refuse her leadership as well, so if Koffi will go in prison I think that QL will slowly disapper.

Simply put, Cindy has destroyed Koffi Olomide and Quuartier Latin. Hopefully all the other musicians are learning from this.
I don't think it is Cindy's fault, it is to blame to Koffi himself, I mean everybody in the position of Cindy will make everything they want, No Suspention if you behave bad, Unlimited power on the orchestra, I mean what would you have done in Cindy's position, the problem is that in music and in things in general if you leave too much power to your workers even if you are the boss things will be get worse, like Koffi did

Congolese Music / Re: balle de match
« on: July 26, 2016, 09:47 »
I don't think is a priority right now, Cellulaire died less than a month ago, so I think that fans will forgive a little mourning, the fact is that Roger Ngandu and Wenge stuff were wrong for not posting after the release of Echauffement, it would have been a big hit, if you release it now, people had already listen to 3 generique including balle de match who has like 5 years and echauffement and Puissance /Nzengama that has almost a year, so people will listen the album in DRC but outside, it is a risky run.
