 one thing people forget about rio and jb is that they have family relationship,so everytime rio wants to leave he takes a step back but at least  he is not a guy who bullies other like jdl and seguin otherwise metro who was his main challenger would not have got 8 vocals and 1 lead 
and also he has a lot of support thanks to bcbg's donors, one of the reasons why there are far less moves in bcbg that in other groups is that the musicians know if they live its highly possible that they lose majority of donors even without jb giving an order

Well he just can't leave, for some simple reasons, everytime he release a song, has been a flop, and I don't think that anyone could accept Rio's leadership, because he lacks the charisma.
