This was after their tour in Japan & Europe of 7 months and the release of his Esclave-EP.
After the song Esclave, Papa Wemba explain that people asked him if he started to sing politics and he replied with saying that he never would sing about politics. He was surely intimidated by MPR-officials or the JMPR, who where I guess scared that he could influence the youth-generation against the Mobutu-regime.
In the same concert Papa Wemba sung along with Reddy Amisi the song Destin Ya Moto, which Koffi would release 1 year later under the name Dieu Voit Tout. Which created the polemic of who the real songwriter is between Reddy Amisi and Koffi Olomide.
