-fund studio sessions,if album is recorded abroad like most of the legendary albums take care of musicians
- release album and promote album on tv radios internet and concerts
 
 that's the old version of producer
 nowadays for example in congolese music 99 per cent of artists fund album themselves through their money or through money from selling songs and towards the end give it to somebody who has the licence of producers(and even this is starting to change with many artists opening labels, koffi central,f victeam,dlta production,werrason world,mayas musik,wanted records ....
