I think this news is fake.  Some cheap journalists do that often.  They make some atrocious announcements all in the name of looking for cheap popularity.

Definitely nonsense, he's in Yaounde for a series of concerts. These artist death reports have become far less common compared 10+ years ago.

Every week they used to fabricate death reports from peculiar circumstances, and because there wasn't immediate response videos and social media, some reports were actually believable.

When I first saw the saw the headline stating Papa Wemba (RIP) died, I thought it just another faux rumeur like the many dozens before it, but to my dismay there was photo and video proof.
