He says he stayed in europe before all the les marquis as he had to return to kin with werra and he disappeared at airport few times before flight while he came with werra and he had to go back to kin since mimiche left and he was the one who could cover as he is versatile,but since werra did not give him the money promised he decided to leave he left airport and werra was left surprised
the other guys went with werra to angola then to london since it was not easy anymore to get french visas after papa wemba's arrest and from there ferre called him to say he is unhappy because werra is not paying them well so he ponders leaving the group then him japonais told him if so then why not team up to do something and ferre replied that was actually what i was thinking about and from then him japonais recruited celezino,serge mabiala,jaimerose,mimiche and co and they started rehearsing even before the guys moved from london and the first to come was ferre who had french papers then later on they got bill to france with the papers of somebody who looked a bit like him jdt was still having rehab after his accident so in the first rehearsals he had to sit in order to sing
the first producer they got was decky deckysha who producer their first concert and after that mr simon came in with that 10 year contract and they were having concerts while they recorded album and when album was out they had to face strong spiritual challenge from older artists as they sacrificed 350 pigs in order to make the group collapse,and some people were sent to spread mystical things where they used to rehearse and and when they split he met somebody who is in the world of music who told him when the news came to kin that les marquis "collapsed" koffi called jb and told him " thank God now this group does not exist anymore"

I thought koffi supported les marquis because of his competition with werrason?

yes at the beginning like many of them hinted at least if they did not come to latino he encouraged them to leave to weaken werra but then i guess if what japonais said is true which seems quite likely knowing congolese music it just surely the "threat" thing
our musicians are sometimes capable of uniting a little bit to counter upcoming artists i remember how according to sam tshintu late wemba despite huge beef with koffi told them they would not go anywhere and they will not reach koffi's level
so its well possible that like how verckys,luambo and tabuley used to unit to destroy bands in the past the same thing happened
if you look at the three last big group offshots nouvelle generation,academia and les marquis,the same things happened

It's better that pigs were used and not humans, very stupid logic from the older artists how is Congolese supposed to grow if they keep hindering the upcoming artists. Hopefully the 5th and up generations stop that mentality.

Do you think that it's possible in the next 5/10 year that a shoot off-band can come and succeed like some Clan-Langa Langa bands in the past ?

I think that if Les Marquis split, that it was more because of their ego's and not having a common cause to succeed with Les Marquis, then the nkisi which their elders brothers used against them. Because Bill, JDT & Ferre where already strong spiritually. From day 1 it was already clear with the interview they made with Yves Kambala that they would split in a year. You could see that everyone saw himself as the boss of Les Marquis. JDT saw himself as the boss, since he was the eldest of them and also the one who came already with that idea in 2000 with his friend Agazul and developed further with Baby Ndombe. Ferre saw himself as the boss, since he was the chef d'orchestre of Maison Mere and the one who brought the idea back some weeks before the tour in London. Bill was already very very strong spiritually, which led him think that he was the boss of Les Marquis and getting later also a contract from Skol through Zacharie Bababaswe (not knowing that it was more like a trap, to make the leadership-war in Les Marquis worser)

honestly no fally and ferre have spoilt the guys with leadership,everybody wants to be a leader,the rare guys who team up a bit like to have too much independence to form great units like those offshots were for example joss gabana and gesac or more recently abraham and metro who are together but each doing solo projects already so its not the same energy than langa langa start or academia or les marquis who threw all their energy in before the devil of leadership came in

Wow, why would Zacharie Bababaswe do that? Especially since he's not a musical artist. How is the relationship between him,Bill,Ferre and JDT?
