This is such a dry period for Congolese music. Has anyone released anything? Why are they extremely slow.

They are all satisfied with where they are now, Wata and Deplick just have released THE album, Fabregas is busy with problema in his group, JB doesn't give a fuck about music anymore, Werra has Lobeso out so he is training Ambulance to be the number One and wants to add Sarah in 7 jours de la semaine so he have to add new work to already made generique and erase Lobeso parts, Fally want to promote well is upcoming album in Kin and Koffi is the only one who is releasing with a decent rate. The rest are guys trying to breakthrough like Abraham and Metrau.

Here's the latest JB news (circa today), although in late December his camp claimed BDM would be released around this time in March

The floor is currently wide open for Mopao, since there isn't much motivation being shown from the rest in regards to album release.

Its been really dry for a while, probably has been for like a year.

God forbid should jb pass away in the coming years people would be shocked about how much unreleased songs he has because of his strange strategy,even the papa wemba tribute still is not released unless he finally waits for the first anniversary
i am told they'll release BDM in late april/early may but then again you can only trust bcbg once you have proof the cd is out lol
fabregas will release in june with his group to counter ibra who releases at the same time
werra should have released 4 days ago as announced by sankara yanki and co but they changed strategy they will release the "international" songs one by one with their sponsor trace while they finish the second generique of that album which mainly has those world music songs

Congolese will lose alot of money and fame doing this. This is not normal strategy. Release to keep us dancing. How does BCBG get paid?

It doesn't make any sense to me. They were pumping out albums on a yearly basis. What is going on? Are they becoming lazy?

Band leaders are making more money than ever on their African concert and tour contracts (more than Zenith, etc), so they have more than enough capital to keep a full band running

They simply have nothing to prove to anyone musically, so the hunger has been long gone for the establishment. If donors complain about their paid song not being released, the artist will release it privately to them or, on a rare occasion, release it as a single.
A good example is Maître Manix's song Ferre released as a single back in September

unless they lie(like unfortunately several times) wenge bcbg will have their final review session of balle de match from tonight until tomorrow around the same hour in jb's studio and jb will come to europe by the week end to do last mix and mastering at studio de la grande armee
felix wazekwa will finish this week a generique called debout africains( stand up african people) done and lingala french and english and release clip by the end of the month which was meant to have the late eddy dolce doing some animation in next to eclipse

So they are done with the final review session, I hope Mukulu is serious this time , this album is long overdue.
