Mimi was the most well known female folklore artist from the Équateur (Mongo) region. She passed away Jan 2007 from throat ailments 

She collaborated a lot with Mabele Esili

Na lembi libala were, nga Na lembi libala very great voice, unfortunately there aren't females with traditional voice in today's music I wish Eloko Oyo of Fally came when she were alive so she could see what her music has accomplished, but what was the relationship with her and Mabele Elisi? They were lovers or their bond was just artistic collaborations

there is the group of ruth nzele's mother mama evala which is starting to get a bit of recognition in kin maybe we'll soon see her getting really popular
