I can't believe I was listening and dancing to those lyrics, but then I listen to rap music where violence plays a huge part. On Saturday me and my friend were talking about Zigida (she listened to it for the first time on Saturday) and said it's trash cause they were making fun of people who died in a market from a planet crashing. To non-Lingala speakers goes "who knows about Zigida, and something fell on the people and the heads of the mamas fell on the onions".

Interesting. Is there a way we can get a full translation for the song? I think it really shouldn't be boycotted but again that's American me speaking. I listen to rap music where they often bring up political views in negative manners, objectifying women, disrespecting other people etc.
I don't agree with anything that's a negative message in music but I just love music. I hardly get phased by lyrics anyway.

the main part of the generique means " do you know zigida? yes i know zigida market ,a plane crashed at zigida market and cut the head of several women who were selling onions with that "ehhh"which seems like he's having fun singing it

It's already catching fire here in Nairobi where people love Congolese music but do not necessarily understand the language. Fabro has the potential to be really big if gets his act together and get a good manager.

the "eeh" part is what makes that crie cringeworthy. if they would have developed it more into something of a historical memory or made it have more context it would be good. but these pothead atalakus who knows how or what they are thinking when they make these outlandish cries. Air Force One probably thinks the whole thing is funny as hell that is why the "ehh" at the end. Fabregas should be mature enough to foresee the consequences and tastelessness of the crie.
