Title: A LOOK AT KIRIKOU
Post by: Congomusiclover001 on July 11, 2017, 22:19
Things I noticed about Kirikou after watching these two videos:

Fast Tempo doesn't work for Kirikou. He loses his voice and can't maintain. WMMM is known for fast tempo music.

Slow tempo sebene/generique works better for him. His animations in NYATAQUANCE were good because Koffi and QL have shifted from the music that made him popular over the years to a more slower tempo.

Kirikou is also more of  a studio atalaku than a concert atalaku.

Easy to see why he loses his animations to more vocally stable atalakus. I like his style of animation (More hyping than singing) I just dont think he will last in any group.

Now, if you had a choice between ROBERT EKOKOTA and Kirikou, who will you pick being that they're both talking atalakus?

The great Wunda Ekokota and Kirikou should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

Most street atalakous in Kin have a better voice than Kirikou. He had a long period of relevance because of the “Boss” cri, but it seems Koffi is over that now, as he’s no longer getting the air time Koffi gave him 6-8  months ago. He wasn’t selected for his recent tour either, if I recall correctly

Come on now, EKOKOTA is a legend neither Kirikou neither no atalaku in the entire recent history can be compared to him Bill, Brigade, Kabuya, Ambulance, Fusee, Caludji are under EKOKOTA listen to some songs where he was animating and compare it to any atalaku of the last 20 years and you will see how without sense this question is. Kirikou he is a good atalaku regardless of the people say he does have a shitty voice and shit, Bercy has the ugliest voice of all in the atalaku section but still has the number one spot in every important generique when he is in a group, Kirikou saved Koffi with Nyataquance but EKOKOTA isof another planet.

Oza liboma ?!! how you can compare Ekokota to Kirikou. Ekokota is a legend and had many copycats (Beevans, etc.) "Baya ku lokota"

Guys, I know Robert EKOKOTA should not be in the same sentence with Kirikou. I also know all the Atalakus mentioned above are more qualified than Kirikou. I was just comparing their styles and not their status.

wow...can't believe you just asked us that question....seriously dude why? and they don't even have the same style...Ekokota was more of a free style animator and was great on fast generiques, example "Pentagone".

The only atalakous that can be justifiably compared to Ekokota are Nono Atalakou (the man who was the catalyst for the shaker and amination) and Djuna Mumbafu (the man who popularized the role in the late 80’s). Ekokota was the man who revolutionized and set the tone for animation in the decades that followed.

Kirikou has good animation but his voice just doesn't do him justice, even in studio he sounds suspect at times. Ekokota is decent I don't see the hype about him though.

JDog seriously? Every time a song has his voice on it, you wanted to get up and dance and his voice who was a mixture of Joey, surprise, happiness and craziness made everybody coping his style.
Listen to God's voice in a human being, listen.
