Title: MAN THIS SONG IS STILL VERY MOVING; WERRASON - LE GRAND MONSIEUR
Post by: Matebu on July 15, 2017, 00:48
Blandine was the token, award-winning rhumba from Kibuisa, but this song is just superb. From the arrangement, to the profound lyrics, and the vocalists

Baby Ndombe, Ferré, Aimelia, Adjani, and Werra singing in top form ... No competition, MM had the by far the best vocal lineup late 2000-03

Yes, It's my favorite song along Le Vent du Soir.

I think that Didier Lacoste wanted to kill himself when he heard Aimelia Lias doing his vocals of Le Grand Monsieur & Obiang and Adjani doing his of 13 Ans and Fair Play. The man lost 9 recorded vocals for following "Tata Mobitch" in Wenge Tonya Tonya, after being snitched by Elliot Mondombe for that airport-affaire.

Mvulusi shed more light you mean initially the vocals in those tracks you've mentioned were meant for Lacoste? What happened with the airport incident? Any Le Grand is a good track but my favourite is Le Vent du Soir

Did Adjani sing Lacoste's part in blandine? because it sounded like a vocal that would fit lacoste very well

yes lacoste indeed had 9 vocals which adjani ferre and aimelia did since he left
the airport thing mvulusi talks about is that lacoste met adolphe at airport and elliott reported to werra that lacoste wanted to join adolphe so from then he was seen as a traitor and frozen out but he said it would have been not polite if he did not salute adolphe because its basically adolphe who "gave" him a professional career by taking him into maison mere

I play both the "Le" songs often, good stuff. Werra should've really checked to see if Lacoste indeed wanted to go with Adoplhe.

Looking back was it really worth it for Lacoste to go with adolphe in the beginning yeah Tonya Tonya was hot but afterwards well....

I remember that Lacoste said on tv that he wanted to rejoin Maison Mere, but that Aimelia said to him that Werrason was very angry. So Lacoste tried to reconcile with Werrason trough the phone and say that he didn't want to join Tonya Tonya and that it was just a salute. But Werrason & Elliot said then some nasty words towards him and insulted his mother and then Werrason said to Elliot, "Say to him if he want to rejoin us, that he must attack Adolphe on tv". Lacoste refused that condition, since that it was Aldophe who recruited him in Maison Mere. So he decided to take some break and advice from people. And then finally joined Wenge Tonya Tonya with Werrason then attacking Lita Bembo and Shaguy Sharufa on tv, claiming that they brought Lacoste on the bad way. After that Aimelia Lias threaten them to leave Maison Mere, since he had first only 1 or 2 vocals in Kibuisa Mpimpa. So they erased Lacoste vocals and replaced it by Aimelia, Adjani & Ferre.

I always thought Aimelia didn't fit to Maison Mere. Even if he sang Lacoste parts well and he did a good job in his song Effet Placebo in A La Queue Leu-Leu. I don't know why I always associated Aimelia with BCBG not Maison Mere even if he stayed longer with Werra.
