I have a poll for you guys today. I have been listening to Madilu and to me his soundalikes. Now I am going to give you options
I found 12 people that have some effect of Madilu. They may be more, if there is another person that you think of, play say it.
Here is Michelino in a 1985 Lp. He is a more aggressive version of Madilu. Franco should have sung with him as well.

Ferre Gola, it is pretty easy to find Madilu moments. Look at his original song Vita Imana. It reminds me so much of how Madilu would have been if he was a Wenge Age.

Mayaula Mayoni sounded like Madilu except he was much deeper with his baritone.

Wawali Bowane has a Madilu sense where he has his emotional effect with his voice. I can see why Tabu Ley would pick him up later on. Bokelo must have enjoyed his voice.

Bimi Ombale has Madilu's huskyness but he had a more easy flow with it. I am surprised that Franco never attempted to sing with this man.

I thought that Soki Vangu was Madilu over the years because it was a younger version of him. I found out that was Soki Vangu. But he sounds like Madilu because his baritone can be high and Madilu could also be high at times. Like Madilu, he also had a vulnerable side that attracted ladies. This song shows where Soki Vangu sounds like Madilu the most in his way. Here he has a raspier effect but you could easily believe that was Madilu.

Sam Tshintu sounded like Madilu but he was much deeper than Madilu was. This song reminds me a bit of a pair up of Madilu and Nyboma's harmonies that they did over the years. Sam Tshintu sounds like Madilu in his own way. I think Madilu could have done a great job with this song

Fofo Le Collegien surprises me because he has a reputation as a great rhythm guitar player. Funny enough, Madilu would use this man a lot of his album from his 1999 pouvoir until his final album Dernier Volonte. This song, Fofo Le Collegien really sings like Madilu a lot. This song of his actually reminds me of Madilu's 1998 classic song Yaya. The emotional effect is very similar. Amazing. I love this song because Fofo is a greater singer than given credit. I wish Madilu had done a duet with Fofo Le Collegien.

Tapis Malonga is what Madilu would have been if he had a higher range in the Baritone level as well as a possible counter tenor singer. Tapis Malonga has a Madilu effect because his voice is very emotional like Madilu except a bit more simple than Madilu had.

Bola Bolithe has a more jolly version of what Madilu had as a singer. His voice is more fragile than Madilu had and it was a beautiful sound. Bola Bolithe just knew how to more fragile than Madilu even was. Bilonda is a great example. BTW Madilu and Bola Bolithe connected well in the choirs before their solos came.

Finally Elba Top A of Bana OK. This man is a Madilu soundalike no doubt. His voice has more vibrato with his baritone than Madilu had. Elba was more deeper as well than Madilu was. But there is no doubt that Elba sounded like Madilu. The minute I hear Elba, I am listening to a Second Madilu coming.
I am going to show how similar they sounded. When they sang together, I could not tell who was who when they sang a sample of Vincent Gomez in this interview.
