Here are some causes that I know that created the bad blood between koffi olomide and papa wemba which would be permanent until the day Papa Wemba died.

- Koffi's claim that he made Papa Wemba
- Koffi feeling of getting the short hand stake over the Wake Up project
- Papa Wemba attacking Koffi on Okoningana
- Felix Wazekwa.
