With the famous dance "Nkila Mogrosso", who was forbidden for some months after this concert. Nkila Mogrosso ont dethroned the Koyimbi-Ko dance in Kinhsasa. In this they gave some preview of the Somo-Trop album by playing songs like St Jean Mbelekete, Lamentation & Sodome et Gomorrhe (who was orignally dedicated to Geneve)

Man I felt sorry for the Nion-Nion's and Anthony Sampaio, who were about to tour in Europe for the first time in their music-carreer. Also Bendoson who about to see his fans and friend back after 3 years. I guess that Wemba's enemies celebrated his arrestation. That generation of female-dancers is far better than the one we got now.

lol these days we have two types of dancers, the twerk and wild dancers(majority of the current dancers) and the skinny skillful dancers like merveille ya mado or some of the heritier dancers
there are less and less variety in the dance section

Yes their last tour with Nouvelle Ecriture was that of Bercy/Bataclan then they planned a zenith for september 2002, but it got cancelled and were waiting for another date. So somewhere in january 2003 Papa Wemba went to Europe for some concerts with his world-music band Molokai and Viva La Musica "Cours des Grands" and negociting some contracts for the next supposed Europe-tour with Nouvelle Ecriture. But then just after performing for Belgium minister Louis Michel Papa Wemba got arrested for human-traficking, with all those ngulu who he brought then getting deported back to Congo. Which messed things up for Nouvelle Ecriture who were so eager to come back in Europe.

Wemba went broke very fast paying for his defense; so technically he could've avoided prison time by paying the €30,000 fine (it's funny how donors can disappear when you need them). The Madames na Poto were helping him more than the rest. When he got out, he knew that 80+ band that was Nouvelle Écriture could not be sustained
The BBC documentary Wemba did that year, also was a PR disaster for him. The filmmakers screwed him with the language barrier, making him look like a source of Congolese troubles in Europe
