yeah, it smeems that al big arrangers (Alain Makaba, Sec Bidens, Al Nzimbi, etc.) don't like recording songs with proper drums. It's crazy how the JB Mpiana big musicians after big shows. He lost Aimelia after Madeleine, Makaba after Zenith, Titina after Bercy, Ekokota after Madeleine & Blaise Bula after Palais des Congres in Abidjan.

Wasn't it because they wanted the guitars and synthesizers sections to be heard louder? Real drums sets have a tendency of dominating the sound.

I remember hearing that from one of them in an interview.

Personally, I love the sound ot a real drumset.
