Bebe Kero and Brigade were in point, Roi Soleil sounded really good. I don't ever recall Gipson's voice in the studio choruses and I even saw him do a Fally/Bouro type of dance which suprised me.

This along with Bercy was probably the best concert after the Olympia era the sound was perfect and this was when soleil's dance skills were improving the way they did the koyimbi ko choreography was on point with bouro doing it the best (maybe even better then most in maison mere lol) and I didn't know Nono Diament returned to QL

Top concert, if i go by what fally once explained ininterview,maybe we did not hear jipson's voice because of the way koffi did his chorus
all would do premiere voix tenor and deep voice then and sometimes some of then will go a bit freestyle,i guess jipson due to his voice was limited and would be then overshadowed by the other tenor and premiere voix who had that vocal power

I'm surprised Jipson survived in Quarter Latin for as long as he did, the quality of his vocals on recorded songs compared to live performances were generally inconsistent.
It's just too bad Depitsho Savanet and Mamale Tupac couldn't remain in the group, both had great vocals and charisma. I believe Mamale left over girl troubles with Koffi, but I don't know why Depitsho Savanet didn't last with them.
Do you know why Depitsho Savanet didn't remain in Quarter Latin? He wasn't even with them in Bercy or the clips for Attentat (his parts often interpreted by drummer Champion in the clips).

Wait, are you talking about the same faux chanteur extraordinaire Depitsho Savanet? He was only in the group because of his prior experience as key figure in Wenge El Paris and dancing skills (crowd pleaser in that regard).
Depitsho was kicked out officially spring 2000 by the young QL lead by Champion. They didn’t like him at all because he tried to act above them in front of Koffi. The same Champion mocked they way Depitsho sings in that one polemic video they recorded as soon as him and JF Ifonge left. Another fraud of a singer

No that's not true. Depitsho was present at Bercy. You can him see him sing in Rond Point, Number One, Micko and dancing. In he is also present in some Attentat-Clips (the generic, Cameleon and Nul n'est Parfait where he's dancing with Jordan and Fally). He left Quartier Latin after a concert in Laussane, where he came to late. Which made Koffi delete all his vocals in the CD-version of Bercy and replace it by Fally, Jordan & Lola Muana. Some animations of Ocean were also deleted and replaced by CNN. Depitsho left at the moment that they hadn't finish recording the videoclips which made his vocals being playbacked by Champion in Kamutshima & Number One. In the bonus of the cassette "Mokonzi", (which was the second part of Attentat-videoclips), Champion, Mamale, Fally & Nseka explained why Depitsho left with Champion being. On the end of the video they were singing Cameleon on the streets with Champion imitating him and then they received Koffi like a king. The video was on YouTube, but it got deleted.
But apparently he left like Mamale, because of a girl.

He saw that his place wasn't in Quartier Latin. He hadn't vocals in Attentat and was barely singing in concerts, he was only dancing. Getting also nightmares. So after Bercy he decided to leave the band. When he heard that Depitsho left he contacted him to form a band along with his friend Cesar Loboko. They had some succes in Paris and claimed that they would do it better than Academia. But the band didn't last long with leadership-issues and the fact that JF Ifonge slept with Depitsho's wife. So Depitsho left and started his solo career and JF Ifonge went back to Congo and formed his band there and recorded an album called Force d'Attack.

Oh yeah they dissed Suzuki and Academia too in that video if I remember well. Nseka said Suzuki feared Depitcho lol. Maybe in term of dancing skills.
It seems like the 1st Quartier Latin wasn't pleased at all of his arrival especially Suzuki and Bouro.

not only dancing, but charisma and that thing being "pure petit" of Koffi (informing about musicians, etc.), while it was Suzuki's role. So he saw that he was stealing his place, which made him attacking spiritually many times. Bouro wasn't happy because he saw that he stole his place, as being the boss favorite.
The most bandmembers weren't happy with Depitsho arrival, because he was getting alot of advantages, while they worked years long to get recognition. The same thing happended when Ferre arrived in Quartier Latin.

Remember Depitsho and JF would be invited to stay at Koffi’s residences, which gave them the opportunity to gossip about QL members. JF is insane nowadays, but some of the stuff he says went on in the background is factual to a degree

Yea, he left Wenge El Paris the beginning of 98 and joined in Spring. Coincidentally during early preparations for Olympia

yeah ofcourse, even better than his ex' best friend JDT Mulopwe. Don't forget how influent he was in Wenge EL Paris, who were the rivals of Wenge Maison Mere. Also with the system they had in Maison Mere, would have allowed him to expresse himself better than in Quartier Latin. Where it was Koffi Olomide being more on the forefront, which was even in bandalbums.
