From 45th minute he says he noticed he was making same "mistake" as people to do one or two generiques then loads of rumbas
he has nothing against rumbas but he thinks we should revert to old formula which consisted in sebene songs and serious rumbas in between them,thats how groups like wenge or zaiko became legendary
one thing i also liked in interview is when he talked about fans he says he noticed that these years fans of artists have become too radical for them since they love their star he is never wrong and he does not want that which is why he has always given his mail in interviews so that he receives criticism from fans,he wants his fans to remain rational

Also, it needs to be decent. Back in the days when we got it in abundance - there used to be bad sebene songs also, if you guys remember. Particularly the one's where the beginning was recorded in Europe and the sebene recorded in Kin with a hard cut/paste transition.
Or the the songs that started off sad or somber but immediately cut into sebene - so the meaning was lost. I think that's what Tabu Ley targeted with his fateful criticisms.

I remember a few years ago when I have listened a very awful generique, with a very bad piano playing at the beggining, anyway if all Congolese artist had the mentality of Wazekwa Congo would be USA in terms of fame, Wazekwa always did great generiques, people remember him for Fimbu but my favorite one from him are Direct (Faux Mutu Moko Boye) end Sautez Déjà (Yoooooo wana)
