From studio I.A.D. in Brazzaville under the direction of Mr. Jean-Jacques Bayonne "Cinq sur Cinq". Recorded months apart. At the time, it was by far the best studio in Africa, as everyone customarily went to Brussels or Paris.

For me, this is the best way to directly to directly compare musicians and creativity of different bands. It might sound sacrilegious at first, but I prefer Rocky Blanchard over Didier Masela.

Ah, the dances from 91-92-93 will always be my favorite "Epayi na bisso tembe", "Sauver Moi", "Manger la vendre", "Woutou", "Poussa Kouna", "Bayankee Mabe", "Tate-Mame", "Poto-Malili", "Philipo", "Mayeno" and more. The golden era of really creative, relatively clean animations.

I also believe the orginal verison of Solange was also recorded there, with Brukina Faso bursting to the scene with his classic partitions. Lof Lofombo doing his thing

Yes indeed, my favorite era when everyone was hungry to make a name for themselves as pasing of Franco (RIP) marked the end of the old odemba era, and gave younger acts an opportunity to become number 1.

My memory fails me, what was that dance/animation in Koffi's Magie around the 7:30 minute mark? That one always had me at my feet and arms shuffling haha

Haha yes, tha was a tricky one. You had take to really coordinate your hands & feet and it only worked if you were smooth with it.

The dances festured in Magie (popular 1994 dances) are "Tora", "Niama", "Mamie mosiko... Kangi Nzela(7:30-)" . I think what really memorable for people was the guitar partitions from Beniko and Lebou.

A while back I translated Bivens animation lyrics from Sylvekou (3:50-). Back when ataklous used audible lyrics compared today.

By the way, anyone know in which album the original song Solange is ?
