Was playing Kipe Ya Yo in the car with my little niece and later on as we were eating fish she stated singing "Le poisson a combien de parti! trois parti! Likolo a combien de parti! trois parti! Ahh, Citez-les ! Mutu (the head), Libumu (the stomach) na Lopele (and the tail) pele ya lopele ! Pele ya lopele...." ;D ;D Definitely not possible with today's generique with X rated chants.
Despite the critisms of too much bass boost and Genta & Maitre Ficare/Patou Solo being muffled too low, it's a great generique in my opinion. One of the catchiest post-Ndombolo.

Where was this album recorded? It may have played a role as to why the album's sound wasn't up to par with prior releases. And I guess I'll have to give credit where it's due kiekiekie...Seguin was impressive on the drums.

What's one of the most X rated generiques today? I don't know the language so I just jam out. I know Brigade is known for some.

Most of the album was recorded in London, England in 2006 when they were there for some time. Sensible Studios, where Amy Winehouse (RIP) recorded Back to Black and Quincy Jones some of his recent works. How they dropped the ball in regards to sound in some songs I don’t quite understand
Other songs like Voiture were done at Studio N’diaye in Kin and ironically sounded great. Jp Kys did a great job on that song
