For me CNN vs Arafat 2500v in their prime (1999, 2000, 2001) would’ve been the ultimate pure tenor atalakou battle. I genuinely wouldn’t know who to pick until seeing them face to face live.
Bill would have sonned (schooled) Bercy so hard methinks.

Because he was a clintonist. So he had took take the image of Bill Clinton in Cultura Pays-Vie, like Biscuit des Ecoliers did in Nouvelle Ecriture and Kerozene in Quartier Latin. With Wazekwa giving him all the advantages. Gessac himself went towards Koffi Olomide,after a conflict with Wazekwa (being suspended and left behind in Kinshasa when he and his band went to Lubumbashi). Koffi Olomide himself discovered that he wasn't creative after some months. Which made Koffi give Mukusa ya Mbwa cries to Gessac. Before dumping him.

don't forget that from 1995-2006 it wasn't necessary to create your own cries. Because bands were sharing the same cries or using cries of little bands (Super Choc of Shora Mbemba, College des Nobles, Lavignora Esthetique of Dakumuda, etc.).I think that Defao's Theo Mbala profited the most of that era. Because he never created his own cri,everything coming from Calugi and sometimes Mboshi and later Gentamicine, Celeo & Bill Clinton when he was with Bozi. From 2002 it started to change with Maison Mere wanting to monopolize their cries, despite of using cries of those little bands. Dongo-Dongo was of Dakumuda's band and Eboka of Tindika Lokito was of a guy from Matonge. Kisanola was the last crie who was used by almost every band (Werra, Koffi, Bill Clinton). I remember how pissed of Werrason and his fans were when they saw Quartier Latin and BCBG started to dance Koyimbi. So sad that Quartier Latin discovered Koyimbi after the release of Effrakata. Otherwise they would quicklyput their animations in the album, like in Loi, were they recorded Calugi's animations on the last minute, which they never animated in concerts before recording Loi. I wonder what Werrrason's reaction would be if they animated that before them kiekiekie. From 2007 every band started to use his own crie. With all bands copying Maison Mere system of (which they are doing since 2004, after Bill Clinton's departure) letting their atalaku's bring their generics instead of working together. With atalaku's not trusting each other anymore and doing nkisi on each other.

both Atalakus are way too underrated, in both Congos i don't see many atalakus that can best them, sorry but not sorry....!!!!
