You have a lot of great compositions and good generiques to listen to my friend.
(personal ranking)
I'm really liking (1) Calligula (2017-8) as it's his most complete work yet, but his previous albums are also worth a good listen.
His first album (2) "Je m'apelle toi love Moi" (2003-4) got lots of praise from the like of Tabu Ley "Prince de la rhumba", a Kora nomination, and a Fikin showcase. So about as immediate of an impact as it gets.
(3) Le Millionaire (2013)
(Tie 4) Le temps de l'amour (2005) & Riposte (2007)- Generiques were particularly strong and different from the rest

I didn't really took the time to listen well to Le Millionaire and Caligula. From tommorow I will really take my time to listen to Le Millionaire, Caligula and 13eme Apotre.
My favorite album is Temps d'Amour followed by Riposte.

Karmapa is excellent!!!!! Rumbas are always exceptional with him.

The succes of je m'Appelle Toi was so big that he started to be a big threat to Felix Wazekwa, who came from the same quarter. With a beef starting and both artist attacking each other and moment that Wazekwa refused to give Karmapa a hand during the Kora Awards of 2004. Temps d'Amour, Riposte were also succesful, but they dídn't equal the huge succes Je m'Appelle Toi had, which I don't understand. I remember that Le Millionaire had a big hype in the beginning. But that polemic with Koffi Olomide ruining everything.

It smees that Karmapa was not only Wemba's songwriter, but also that of Koffi and he contributed to the start of his career. Here he's saying that "Koffi is a big artist who did alot of things so that I become Karmapa". from 1:23 min. Which a like from Karmapa is that like Reddy Amisi, he don't like to say for who he wrote his songs when he was a ghostwriter.
