Congolese musician need to see how far we came from and where we are now.

During that time he was living in Kinshasa (I think 2 years or something like that) and married a Congolese woman of Lingwala. That was after that the concert promoter ran away with his money, after that he performed at Stade de 20 Mai (Stade de Tata Raphael). Those things often happend with big stars performing in Zaire. It happened with Kassav, James Brown,etc the list is long. That's why big stars don't like to perform there. Shaggy recently in 2006 had also problems with the concert promoter. If Werrason don't gave him some money, then wouldn't have performed at GHK. Or that incident with Sisqo with him walking over the flag of Congo and saying some nasty things with journalist Jacky Ndaku wanting to figth with him.

Ironically the songs he selected reflected well each band. With Franco, it was about social consciousness and looking for liberty while with Pepe Felly, he wanted to get a sense of respect from someone for his hard work while with Tabu Ley, it was being a womanizer and bragging about being a ladies man. Unfortunately Franco and Tabu Ley did not participate in these songs.

I remember we talked about this album in one of our previous forums.  If I recall correctly, rhumba fans love the album, but Jimmy wasn't a fan of the finished product.  Something about the songs sounding too Zaïrean. Not sure what he expected if this is true.

Is there a reason why? I was looking at the album credits and didn't see their names.
